Can You Do a Private Day Trip from Osaka to Nara? A Licensed Guide's Report The guests were a group visiting from Oceania. According to the email sent when the guide was confirmed, the meeting point was listed as a hotel in Nara City. However, when I confirmed shortly beforehand, I learned that they would be coming from Osaka, so we changed the meeting point to Kintetsu Nara Station. According to the guests, there had been no change to their plan from the outset. In any case, this raised the need to reconfirm the meeting point, as well as questions about how the original meeting point had come to be listed. The tour was blessed with good weather, and the humidity was not high, so we spent a comfortable time. Since there were young guests in the group, we spent a lot of time with the deer of Nara. When feeding crackers to the deer, I handed a cracker to the young guests only in a spot where there was just a single deer, right before feeding. This is the deer's mating season, and being surrounded by many deer can be dangerous. This group purchased a relatively large amount of souvenirs in Nara. Perhaps this was because of the young members of the group, or because they were traveling Japan in what could be called the reverse of the usual course (Hiroshima → Osaka → Nara → Kyoto → Tokyo).

I am Yoshi, a Nara Local Government Licensed Guide Interpreter and also, a National Government Licensed Interepreter.
Let’s go out! The Kansai region was the center of Japan for a long time. It was from the 4th century to 19th century. Thus the Kansai region is rich in scenic and historic interest. Why don’t we see, feel, and find so many attractions in Nara Kyoto and Osaka. I was born and raised in Nara. Also I have been to Osaka and Kyoto for working, shopping and dining. I can show you not only major tourist spots but also shops and delicious food that only locals know. I am looking forward to sharing wonderful moments with you!

What Is a Private Hiroshima Peace Park Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report I guided a group visiting from Europe. For the two days before the tour, they had stayed on Miyajima and had also climbed Mount Misen by ropeway. When I explained about the "Flame of Peace" in the Peace Park—that the fire lit by the high priest Kukai when he visited Miyajima 1,200 years ago has continued to burn without ever going out for 1,200 years, and that this flame has been passed on to the "Flame of Peace" in the Peace Park—they became very interested. While showing them a photograph of Miyajima taken from a distance, I told them that the "Eternal Flame" is located near the summit of Mount Misen, and that when viewed from afar, Miyajima resembles the profile of the Buddha. At the museum, they listened intently to my account of the atomic bombing experience, and they also told me about social conditions in their home region. They said that there are issues of immigration and conflict between religions, and that they feel there is a lack of tolerance. In that respect, they said they envied a tolerant society like Japan's.

What Is a Private Tour of Traditional Tokyo Like? A Licensed Guide's Report on Gotokuji, Shibamata, and Asakusa The guests were visitors from Europe. It was their first visit to Japan, and they had arrived a few days earlier. After visiting Osaka, they traveled to Tokyo the previous day, and they planned to stay in Tokyo for several days before returning home. They wanted to see traditional Tokyo, so I guided them to Gotokuji, Shibamata, and Asakusa. The weather was fairly comfortable today, and I was able to conduct the tour without much concern. One of the guests had a goshuincho (stamp book), and enjoyed receiving temple seals at the temples we visited and collecting stamps at the stations. As I had explained during our itinerary discussion beforehand, since we visited Gotokuji on the western edge and Shibamata on the eastern edge, there was no time to return to the accommodation. At our final stop in Asakusa, I explained how to get back to the accommodation, and we parted ways.

Title: What Can You See on a Private One-Day Tokyo Tour? A Licensed Guide's Report The guests were a group visiting Japan for the first time from Oceania. After sightseeing in Tokyo, they planned to visit Kyoto, Osaka, and Hiroshima. At Meiji Shrine, they appeared deeply impressed by the quiet and solemn atmosphere, which was very different from Shibuya. At the Imperial Palace, they listened with great interest to historical explanations about the role of the Emperor, the Meiji Restoration, and the Edo shogunate. At Senso-ji Temple, they were fascinated by explanations about the differences between temples and shrines, as well as the history of Kaminarimon Gate. In Akihabara, some of the guests showed great interest in anime shops and purchased English-language manga books. Since they mentioned they wanted to shop more in Akihabara and could return to their hotel on their own afterward, we parted ways in Akihabara. I responded to the guests' wishes as requested, so I believe they were satisfied.

Can You Do a Private Kyoto Sightseeing Tour in One Day? A Licensed Guide's Report The guests were a group visiting from North America. After sightseeing in Tokyo and hiking in Nagano, they arrived in Kyoto the day before. One of the guests had visited Tokyo many times before but had only been to Kyoto a few times, while another was visiting Japan and Kyoto for the very first time. This private one-day tour of Kyoto was arranged through [Japan Guide Agency (JGA Inc.)](https://www.j-g-a.org/). Since the guests wished to see as many places as possible, and each site was quite far apart, the pace was somewhat rushed, but even so, I explained various aspects of Japanese history and religious views while riding in taxis and trains. Interestingly, one of the guests listened especially attentively, and the group seemed very happy watching them enjoy the tour, occasionally explaining parts that were not understood. The guests loved golf and were said to be at a single-digit handicap level, and since I also enjoy golf, I could really appreciate their dedication. We had planned to go from the Gion Kobu Kaburenjo Theater to the Yasaka Pagoda and Sannenzaka, but energy ran out and hunger set in, so we headed back toward Pontocho. On the way, I learned that one of the guests had become fond of tenshinhan, so I recommended a good casual Chinese restaurant on Shijo Street and parted ways there. They smiled and said they would enjoy tenshinhan first and then have sukiyaki or sushi in Pontocho. They plan to return to Tokyo the next morning.

What Is a Private Kyoto Temple and Shrine Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report Today's guests were visitors from North America. Before their trip, they had traveled to various destinations for their work. They chose Japan because of an interest in wooden architecture and a desire to see the temples and shrines of Japan. At each place we visited today, the guests spent a long time taking photographs, which slowed the pace of the tour. We had planned to visit Nijo Castle after Kiyomizu-dera Temple, but unfortunately we were unable to make it there. The guests were very disappointed about this, but I believe they were satisfied with today's tour overall.

What's a Private Day Tour of Hiroshima and Miyajima Like? A Licensed Guide's Report The guests had enjoyed traveling abroad in various places, and their trip to Japan had once been postponed due to COVID-19, so they were finally able to come. They seemed to be thoroughly enjoying themselves, saying the food was delicious and that each place had its own distinct charm. They viewed the museum carefully and listened attentively to the explanations at the Peace Park as well. They were very pleased and delighted with the World Heritage Sea Route we used to travel to Miyajima. Since one of the guests was fond of oysters, I took them to an oyster house so they could enjoy fresh raw oysters. They said both the raw oysters and the fried oysters were exquisite. The weather was pleasant today, and they seemed to enjoy strolling around Miyajima.

Hi, I’m Kahori, a nationally licensed tour guide, and delighted to show people around this area. For the past almost 10 years, I have mainly guided foreign medical professionals around Hiroshima City and Miyajima, gaining a deep understanding of the effects of radiation and the support for A-bomb survivors.
Hiroshima is a city of rivers and the sea. Along the rivers Cherry trees line, and the calm Seto Inland Sea, dotted with islands, creates a stunning landscape. Also, the sea has many islands called “art islands” which have fantastic arts relating to the art festival “Setouchi Triennale”. In addition to our two World Heritage Sites, this area is rich in attractive resources. I hope many of you will come and experience this fascinating land. Personally, I am very passionate about modern art and enjoy sports like stand-up paddle boarding (SUP) on our rivers.
I look forward to meeting you, interacting with you, and also, learning from you!

Title: What's a Family-Style Private Tokyo Shopping Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report The guests were a group visiting Japan for the first time from Oceania. This was a 14-day trip to Japan, with 4 days in Tokyo, followed by Kyoto, Osaka, Hiroshima, and Hida-Takayama, before returning to Tokyo and heading home. They arrived at Narita Airport last night via Singapore and took a taxi to their accommodation. The day before, they had strolled around the area near their hotel. Their requests were to learn how to use public transportation in Tokyo, and to focus the day mainly on shopping. It was a tour under cloudy skies in hot and humid weather. First, since they wanted to buy Suica cards, we went to Tokyo Station. After that, at the request of the group, we moved to Harajuku. Skipping Meiji Shrine, we went straight to Takeshita Street. It was still early morning, so many shops had not yet opened, but we took our time strolling. They especially seemed to like places such as the "PIG CAFÉ." We also strolled along Cat Street. They said they would come back again another day. We also walked along Omotesando. From there, we moved to Shibuya. First, we looked down on Scramble Square from the entrance of the Keio Inokashira Line platform and took photos, then actually crossed the intersection. They asked questions such as, "Why do so many people gather here?" and "Why did it become so famous?" We also took photos in front of the Hachiko statue. They eagerly photographed the 3D panda billboard. After that, we strolled through Center Gai. We visited Shibuya PARCO and the Pokemon Center, and then went to "Mandarake" as well. They made comments and asked questions such as, "Everyone in Japan is quiet and polite," "The city is clean and there is no litter on the streets," and "Why are there no trash cans on the streets?" As they wanted to return to their hotel once, I saw them off to Suitengumae Station, and we parted ways.

What Is a Private One-Day Tokyo Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report The guests were visiting Japan for the first time from Europe. They mentioned that after sightseeing in Tokyo, they planned to visit Lake Kawaguchi, Takayama, Shirakawa-go, Kanazawa, Kyoto, Osaka, and Hiroshima. At Meiji Shrine, they seemed impressed by the quiet and solemn atmosphere, which was very different from Shibuya. At the Imperial Palace, they listened with great interest to the historical explanations about the role of the Emperor, the Meiji Restoration, and the Edo Shogunate. At Senso-ji Temple, they were intrigued by the explanations about the differences between temples and shrines, as well as the Kaminarimon Gate. After I guided them to Ueno Park, they said they would do some shopping in Ueno and then return to their hotel on their own, so we parted ways in Ueno. Since I was able to accommodate the guests' wishes, I believe they were satisfied.

I am Seizo Kamiuto, National Government Licensed Guide Interpreter (English). I was born in Kagoshima City in Kyushu (Southern part of Japan) and grew up there until the graduation from a high school. I came to Tokyo to enter a University in Tokyo and since then, I have lived in Tokyo for more than 40 years and therefore I know Tokyo and its suburbs and Kagoshima City very well. After retiring from an IT company, I have been working as a Guide Interpreter of English since March 2018. I have guided many overseas guests to the popular sightseeing spots in Tokyo, Kamakura, Mt. Fuji area (Kawaguchiko Lake etc.), Hakone, Nikko, Yokohama, Kawagoe and Kagoshima and so on. I have received good reviews from many guests. I can explain the history and the culture of Japan in detail. I look forward to an opportunity to guide you in Japan. Thank you. Seizo Kamiuto

What's a Private Walking Tour of Kanazawa Like? A Licensed Guide's Report The guests were visitors from North America. It was the first visit to Japan for one of the guests, while another had come to Yokohama many times before. This was their first time in Kanazawa, and they had decided to include it in their itinerary after seeing an advertisement for Kanazawa in a travel magazine. Because it was a mid-point day of a scattered holiday period, popular sightseeing spots such as Kenrokuen Garden, Kanazawa Castle, and the Nagamachi Samurai District were crowded, but the guests were able to enjoy the tour at a relaxed pace. Since they planned to join a dinner tour in the evening, we returned to Kanazawa Station, where I showed them the location of souvenir shops before ending the tour.
