    • 10:20 Stroll around the Shinjuku area
    • 10:50 Meiji Shrine

    • 15:00 Akihabara
    • 16:00 Tour ends at Akihabara

What's a Full-Day Private Tokyo Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report on Shinjuku, Meiji Shrine, Shibuya, Asakusa, and Akihabara The guests were visitors from Asia. Since they had only arrived the previous night, I showed them Golden Gai, Kabukicho, and Omoide Yokocho near the hotel so they could use these as references for later. Next we headed to Meiji Shrine, and as they had an interest in Shinto, I explained its background and how to worship. We also happened to see a family visiting for a Shichi-Go-San celebration, so they enjoyed experiencing a custom unique to Japan. After experiencing the busy flow of people at the Shibuya Crossing, we headed to Asakusa and Senso-ji Temple, where they enjoyed the atmosphere full of old Edo charm. At the temple's omikuji fortune drawing, they drew "Dai-kichi" (great blessing) and seemed very delighted. As the agency had requested that I guide them around Akihabara, we visited it last. They mentioned that they could not eat beef or pork but wanted to try ramen, so they enjoyed chicken ramen here. Since they wished to continue browsing shops at the end, we concluded the tour in Akihabara.

    Hello and welcome to Tokyo!

I have been working for business with American companies for many years. I have many experiences guiding customers from around the world in Japan and taking Japanese customers to the USA and Europe.

I now have a national license as a guiding interpreter, and I want to introduce the unique gigantic city of Tokyo and the traditional Japanese culture, which is not shown in the guidebooks, to people worldwide who are interested in it. In addition, I want to introduce various Japanese foods you can enjoy only in Japan.
Unique experiences such as the Sumo Training Viewing and Tea Ceremony are optionally available.
Depending on your preference and itinerary, I can guide you in Tokyo, Kamakura, and Hakone so that you can enjoy your time in Japan.

    Tour Itinerary

    • 08:50 Meet at Hotel Vista Kanazawa
    • 09:30 Teramachi
    • 10:20 Myoryuji Temple
    • 11:25 Ninja Weapon Museum
    • 12:35 Lunch at Tsutsumitei
    • 13:20 Kanazawa Castle
    • 14:15 Kenrokuen Garden
    • 14:55 Disband at Kenrokuen Garden

What's a Private Walking Tour of Kanazawa Like? A Licensed Guide's Report The group strolled through the temple district, where I explained about visiting graves during the Obon season, and they enjoyed a calligraphy experience at a bamboo brush shop. Myoryuji Temple was full of hidden tricks and mechanisms, which the group seemed to enjoy. At the Ninja Weapon Museum, they tried throwing shuriken, after which a staff member explained the various ninja weapons. For lunch, near Kenrokuen Garden, the guests enjoyed dishes such as tonkatsu set meals and katsudon at a restaurant. At Kanazawa Castle, they appreciated the traditional architecture. At Kenrokuen Garden, the group enjoyed the beginning of the autumn foliage and the quiet scenery of the ponds. Today's itinerary did not include a stop at a souvenir shop, but the guests mentioned that they collect magnets from each sightseeing spot.

I majored in civil engineering at a college and am interested in historical infrastructures. I have also guided foreign people around Ishikawa Prefecture, Toyama Prefecture, Gifu Prefecture, and Fukui Prefecture as an international activity of an English circle. I was a volunteer interpreter at the training camp for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games in 2021.

Hokuriku region has a lot of sightseeing spots as follows, beautiful landscapes like Kenrokuen Garden and Tateyama, tasty food like traditional Kaga dishes and fresh seafood from Toyama Bay, traditional crafts like Kaga Yuzen dyeing, Takaoka copperware, and Inami woodcarving. I introduce these spots and historical infra tourism such as Kurobe dam and industrial tourism.

I also work as a translator. I translated the Japanese firefly squid tourism pamphlet into English in 2020.

Title: What Is a Private Kanazawa Walking Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report The guests were a group visiting from North America. It was a third visit for some of the guests, who are very fond of Japan, and a first visit for others. The group became interested in gold leaf and enjoyed gold leaf ice cream as well as watching the final stage of the gold leaf production process. At the start of the tour, I asked about their lunch preferences, and I explained that Omicho Market is famous for fresh local fish. I chose a restaurant where they could select either option, but as it turned out they were not keen on raw fish, and everyone chose tonkatsu, fried oysters, and tempura. The group enjoyed the autumn scenery of Kanazawa under clear skies.

Title: What's a Full-Day Private Tour of Tokyo Like? A Licensed Guide's Report on Meiji Shrine, Takeshita Street, Tsukiji, Asakusa, and Akihabara The guests were a group visiting Japan from Asia. They had originally come from North America and spoke among themselves in a language from that region. They had already traveled to Kyoto and Osaka, and Tokyo was their final stop. We first went to Meiji Shrine. They were delighted to see children dressed in kimono attending the shrine for wedding ceremonies and Shichi-Go-San celebrations. On Takeshita Street, the guests enjoyed browsing souvenir and accessory shops, tasting crepes and rainbow-colored snacks, and visiting a mini pig café. At Tsukiji, they looked around various shops, had lunch at a wagyu restaurant, and enjoyed strawberry candy. At Asakusa, they drew omikuji fortunes and visited the temple. Finally, we went to Akihabara, and after I explained the area, the guests wished to continue exploring Akihabara on their own, so I explained how to get back to their hotel and ended the tour. It was nice that we avoided the rain and even had occasional sunny spells.

What Is a 4-Hour Private Walking Tour of Harajuku and Shibuya Like? A Licensed Guide's Report The guests were visitors from North America. They had arrived in Japan just the day before, so they were tired from jet lag, but they walked energetically for the full four hours. They said they enjoyed art museums, but there was not enough time to enter the Tokyo National Museum in Ueno. Since they had not eaten much in the morning, we had ramen soon after arriving in Harajuku, and the tonkotsu ramen seemed to suit their taste. After that, we visited Meiji Shrine and enjoyed some shopping at Uniqlo. They also had fun looking at the pig café on Takeshita Street. We went to the Shibuya Scramble Crossing, and I saw them off at the Ginza Line, where we parted ways.

Title: What Is a Private Kobe Day Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report on Kitano, Herb Garden, and Sorakuen Body: The JR train was running 30 minutes late, and it was uncertain whether I would arrive at the meeting point on time, so I contacted the guests to ask them to wait a little if I was delayed. I was relieved to receive a gracious reply. I arrived 15 minutes before the scheduled time and felt relieved, but I also contacted the driver and asked that they proceed to the destination even if I was not there. We went to the Kitano Ijinkan district to take photos and then headed straight to the Herb Garden. The weather was lovely and the scenery was beautiful, and the guests enjoyed themselves. At Ikuta Shrine we came across several families celebrating Shichi-Go-San, and the guests said they wanted to buy a kimono as a souvenir. After a standing lunch in Chinatown, they purchased some obi sashes and other items as souvenirs at a secondhand kimono shop in the Motomachi Center shopping street. We had plenty of time before going to Sorakuen, so we stopped by the Port Tower to take photos and then went to Sorakuen. As we walked through, admiring how beautiful it was, we came across two pre-wedding photo shoots, which the guests enjoyed watching. It was a little early, but at the guests' request we said our goodbyes at 13:30, and I asked the driver to take them to Itami Airport. I received a message that they had been dropped off at around 12:30.

What Is a Private Tokyo Tour Including Asakusa, Takeshita Street, and Shibuya Like? A Licensed Guide's Report Because the guests' flight into Japan was delayed, there were several irregularities, such as changing the tour start time and being asked to call a restaurant where the guests had a reservation, but I was glad the tour day itself went smoothly. The group consisted of guests who were visitors from North America, with one being quite familiar with Japan while the other was visiting Japan for the first time. One of the guests was looking for a yukata, so I introduced a kimono shop in Asakusa, where they were able to purchase a yukata and an obi and were delighted, which made me happy. They were also looking for a sukajan jacket and had trouble finding one they liked, but in the end they found a favorite on Takeshita Street and purchased that as well. Another of the guests was interested in fashion, and I was struck by how absorbed they were while browsing on Takeshita Street and at Shibuya 109. I had prepared several dining options in advance, but in the end the guests managed at their own discretion, participating after a late breakfast and having some dessert along the way on Takeshita Street, which put me at ease.

Hello, my name is Yui, and I am a licensed tour guide interpreter.

I mainly guide visitors in and around Tokyo, where you can experience both the excitement of modern city life and the charm of traditional culture. Japan is a country where history and the present exist side by side, and this unique balance makes every visit full of discoveries. I believe there is always something that will capture your heart, whether it is food, fashion, history, or daily life in Tokyo.

Since I also work as a Japanese language teacher, I can help you learn a few simple phrases during the tour if you are interested. Using Japanese to greet or chat with locals will surely make your trip even more enjoyable and memorable.

I hope you will take home wonderful memories, and I sincerely wish you enjoy your stay in Japan.

What's a One-Day Private Tour of Tokyo Like When You Skip Temples and Shrines? A Licensed Guide's Report The guests were visiting Japan for the first time, from the Caribbean, on a tour lasting only one day. They had arrived the previous day and were scheduled to depart on a night flight that same day, making for a very busy schedule. They said they had already visited around one hundred countries and were avid travelers. Since they had seen plenty of temples across various parts of Asia, they said they did not need temples or shrines. So we headed from Tokyo Station toward the Imperial Palace, went from Sakuradamon to Kasumigaseki, and then made our way to the Tsukiji Outer Market. They mentioned they had also visited a fish market in another part of Asia, but felt that Tsukiji was more bustling and interesting. They enjoyed their short stay in Tokyo. What Is a Private One-Day Kyoto Bus Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report on Kiyomizu-dera, Yasaka Shrine, Nijo Castle, and Sanjusangendo The guests this time were a group visiting Japan for sightseeing from Oceania. Prior communication regarding the adjustment of destinations was carried out with one of the guests. About two months after my first contact in mid-July, I finally received a reply from the guests, listing four desired locations (Kiyomizu-dera, Yasaka Shrine, Nijo Castle, and Sanjusangendo). For the actual itinerary, I proposed a route starting from a hotel near Kyoto Station and traveling the entire course by bus (Hotel ⇒ Sanjusangendo ⇒ Kiyomizu-dera ⇒ Yasaka Shrine ⇒ lunch and break ⇒ Nijo Castle ⇒ Kyoto Station), and the guests agreed. On the day of the tour, the rainy weather that had continued for some time turned around completely, and we were blessed with beautiful clear autumn skies. Although the sunshine was a little strong, the shade was almost cool, making it perfect weather for the tour. As planned, I met the guests at the hotel, and after a brief self-introduction and confirmation of the itinerary, we set off on the tour right away. All of the guests were visiting Japan for the first time, and while they had a strong interest in Japanese culture and history, they did not yet seem to have very detailed knowledge. The destinations included two Buddhist temples, a shrine, and a palace of the Tokugawa shogunate. As background knowledge, I added specific explanations at each destination while focusing on points such as (1) Shinto and Buddhism and the differences between them, and (2) the imperial system and the rule of the shogun during the age of the samurai. At every destination, the guests listened intently to explanations of Japanese culture and history that they were hearing for the first time, and they also asked many questions. Blessed with wonderful weather, I was able to conduct an enjoyable tour with the group.

Hi, everyone! I’m Norifumi Kamon, a government registered guide interpreter. Please call me “Nori”, or “Kamon-san”.
Let me introdece myself. I was born on April 17th in 1952 in Miyazaki prefecture in Kyushu island. I used to be an English teacher of Osaka Prefectural high school. When I retired from a teacher ten years ago, I decided to get a professional guide license. I wanted to play a role of the bridge between Japanese people and the people from all over the world as a second life of mine. After two years efforts, I finally got the guide license. Since then, I have guided several handreds of foreign people mainly in Kyoto and Nara for about five years except Corona Pandemic period. Almost all the tourists were deeply impressed by the beauty of nature, traditoin, culture, and art of Japan. I can surely help you enjoy and be satisfied with the sightseeing in Japan. And I’m looking forward to seeing you soon.

What Is a Private Miyajima Walking Tour in Hiroshima Like? A Licensed Guide's Report I guided a private tour for the group in Hiroshima. Since they had arrived in Hiroshima the day before the tour, I sent them some recommendations in advance for places that would not overlap with the tour itinerary, which they appreciated. As the guests enjoyed walking, I guided them to Daisho-in Temple on Miyajima, where they enjoyed the Kaidan-meguri (dark path circuit) and the Henjokutsu cave. They were very interested in Japanese customs such as the zodiac signs and unlucky years, and they were delighted when I explained these to them. Since they seemed to dislike crowded places such as shopping streets, we took a quieter side road so they could stroll around at a relaxed pace.

Hello, I’m Kyoko, a certified regional interpreter-guide for Hiroshima Prefecture. I was born, educated, and worked in Hiroshima while raising my children, and I absolutely love this city. I have a deep interest in learning about history and culture, and I enjoy exploring the city and trying out local foods. Meeting people from diverse backgrounds and chatting with them brings me great joy, so I’m really looking forward to helping make your trip to Hiroshima a wonderful and memorable experience.

Hiroshima is home to two UNESCO World Heritage Sites: the Atomic Bomb Dome and Itsukushima Shrine. The Atomic Bomb Dome is a poignant reminder of history, standing gracefully within a beautiful park. Walking through the park together, we can reflect on the powerful message of peace it conveys. Itsukushima Shrine, famous for its red torii gate floating in the sea, is located on a picturesque island. It’s a place where you can enjoy a truly relaxing and serene time.

I can also guide you to other popular tourist destinations, help you enjoy Hiroshima’s local delicacies such as okonomiyaki, oysters, and conger eel, or assist you with shopping.

I will do my utmost to ensure that your trip to Hiroshima becomes a wonderful and unforgettable memory.
