Title: What's a Full-Day Private Walking Tour of Tokyo Like? A Licensed Guide's Report on Meiji Shrine, Kagurazaka, and Rikugien Garden On their second day in Japan, [Japan Guide Agency (JGA Inc.)](https://www.j-g-a.org/) guided lively guests visiting from North America around Tokyo. At Meiji Shrine, the guests each dedicated an ema votive tablet and enjoyed drawing waka-poem omikuji fortunes. Because they were hoping for something off the beaten path, I included Kagurazaka in the itinerary, and they loved its wonderful atmosphere. At Uokin they enjoyed beer, oden, tofu with green seaweed, and a scallop cream croquette served as an appetizer; although they looked a little uneasy before entering the restaurant, they were delighted to find everything delicious. At Rikugien Garden the autumn leaves had just begun to turn, and the guests were moved, saying they preferred it to the gardens of the Imperial Palace. Since they wanted to see as many places as possible, we met at Meiji Shrine, and after parting at Ueno they said they would explore Ueno Park on their own before heading to Tokyo Tower, so I wrote down directions for them. As they were not very comfortable with smartphones, they asked me to help book their Skytree tickets for the following day, which I did. At the end they told me it had been a wonderful tour, and we said goodbye with a hug.

Can You Do a Private Walking Tour of Osaka City? A Licensed Guide's Report The guests were visitors from North America, visiting Japan for the first time. The booking came through a travel agency. Since I was unable to contact the guests directly before the tour, I confirmed the itinerary with them just before we started on the day of the tour. In the morning, following the travel agency's recommendation, the guests took part in a sushi-making experience, and the tour itself began with buying coffee and dessert at a shop recommended by the travel agency. The guests enjoyed walking, so the tour went completely smoothly and we had a pleasant walk around central Osaka. At the request of the guests, who wanted to visit Onitsuka Tiger, I guided them to Hankyu Department Store, where we parted ways.

What Can You See on a Private One-Day Tokyo Tour? A Licensed Guide's Report The guest was a visitor from North America who was visiting Japan for the first time. They mentioned that after sightseeing in Tokyo, they planned to join a cruise tour departing from Yokohama the following day. At Meiji Shrine, they seemed impressed by the quiet and solemn atmosphere, which was very different from Shibuya. At the Imperial Palace, they listened with great interest to historical explanations about the role of the Emperor, the Meiji Restoration, and the Edo Shogunate. At Senso-ji Temple, they were interested in explanations about the differences between temples and shrines and about Kaminarimon Gate, and they purchased a T-shirt and a hat as souvenirs along Nakamise Street. At Yanaka Ginza, which we visited at the guest's strong request, they were very pleased to see the old townscape and shopping street of Tokyo. Since I responded exactly as the guest wished, I believe they were satisfied.

I was born in Kagoshima City in Kyushu (Southern part of Japan) and grew up there until the graduation from a high school. After retiring from an IT company, I have been working as a Guide Interpreter of English since March 2018. I have guided many overseas guests to the popular sightseeing spots in Tokyo, Kamakura, Mt. Fuji area (Kawaguchiko Lake etc.), Hakone, Nikko, Yokohama, Kawagoe and Kagoshima and so on. I have received good reviews from many guests. I can explain the history and the culture of Japan in detail. I look forward to an opportunity to guide you in Japan. Thank you. Seizo Kamiuto

Title: What Is a Private Nagasaki Walking Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report The comfortable season has arrived, making the tour physically much easier. At the Peace Park, school groups on excursions were engaged in peace education, giving a peace declaration and singing "Kusunoki" (The Camphor Tree), which deeply moved the guests, with some of them in tears. In addition, I shared the story of the atomic-bombed camphor tree of Nagasaki. At Dejima, the guests enjoyed taking photos with a samurai and trying the period-style badminton. At Glover Garden, they enjoyed the view of Nagasaki Port and some bird watching.

Hello, I’m Rikako, but please call me Coco. It would be my absolute pleasure to show you around my hometown of Nagasaki. Having performed in the Nagasaki Kunchi Festival in my childhood, I developed a deep interest in history and cultural exchange. This motivated me to become a National Government Licensed Guide Interpreter during my university years. Since then, I have gained valuable experience—from assisting ambassadors at the Nagasaki Peace Memorial Ceremony to handling a wide variety of tours, including private and coach tours, site inspections, international conference support, and VIP hospitality.
Explaining about Nagasaki’s history and culture is the most important to me. It is not only about this. I would love to provide genuine care so that your time in Nagasaki remains in your heart forever.
I’m truly looking forward to guiding you in Nagasaki 🙂

What Is a Private Day Tour Around Mount Fuji and Shizuoka Tea Country Like? A Licensed Guide's Report On this day, Mount Fuji was clearly visible from early morning, and the guests eagerly pointed their cameras at it from inside the train. We visited the Mount Fuji World Heritage Centre and then Fujinomiya Sengen Shrine. At the Wakutama Pond of Sengen Shrine, the guests were deeply impressed by the crystal-clear flow of Mount Fuji's underground spring water, and were amazed at how the enormous volume of spring water forms a river. The highlight of the tour was a tea shop where I took the guests. They sampled the deep-steamed tea that is a specialty of Kakegawa, tasting both the first flush and the second flush, and thoroughly enjoyed the subtle and profound flavour of green tea. The heartfelt hospitality of the shop's owner and family seemed to give the guests deep satisfaction.

Title: What Can You See on a Private Tokyo Architecture Tour of Ueno and Omotesando? A Licensed Guide's Report I guided guests from Europe for the first time. The guests were very close and requested to see buildings designed by renowned Japanese architects, so in addition to standard sightseeing spots, I showed them architecture within Ueno Park (Tokyo Bunka Kaikan, the National Museum of Western Art, the Tokyo National Museum, and the International Library of Children's Literature of the National Diet Library) and around Omotesando to Harajuku (Omotesando Hills, the Yoyogi National First Gymnasium, and AEAJ Green Terrace). I received many questions about the Japanese entertainment industry. The last place we visited, AEAJ Green Terrace, is a building designed by Kengo Kuma that houses the Aroma Environment Association of Japan; for a fee (500 yen per person), visitors are allowed to tour inside the building. It may be a place of interest for guests involved in architecture. I believe the guests were fully satisfied with the tour.

Hi, I am Nobu, a National Government Licensed Guide Interpreter (English).
I have been an English guide in Tokyo area since January 2017.
Tokyo is a wonderful city, and you may enjoy this city by yourselves.
Even so, I recommend you go around with a guide, especially if it is your first time visit to Tokyo.
A good guide will help you to understand about Tokyo and Japan as well as how to use convenient but complicated public transportations more effectively.
I am glad if I can help you to make your tour more enjoyable.
I am looking forward to meeting you in Tokyo soon!

Title: What Can You See on a Private One-Day Kyoto Tour? A Licensed Guide's Report on Nijo Castle and Fushimi Inari The guests were visiting Japan for the first time from Europe. They had arrived at Kansai International Airport from Helsinki the day before and then traveled into Kyoto, so they were a little tired from the time difference, but we were able to set off in good spirits. At Nijo Castle, they were moved by the buildings, decorations, and wall paintings such as the Karamon Gate and the Ninomaru Palace, and we talked about the history of the Tokugawa shoguns and their relationship with the imperial family. They took many photos at the Karamon Gate, the Ninomaru Garden, and the Honmaru Garden. At Fushimi Inari, they also took many photos of the vermilion torii gates and the main hall. At the main hall they offered a prayer, and wishing to relieve some physical discomfort, they enjoyed touching the "Negdevelopmentsagari no Matsu" (Root-Raising Pine) several times. We took a break along the approach and parted ways in the Gion Ponto-cho area.

Hello, This is Shige. I was born and brought up in Osaka. I have been enjoying working as a tour guide since 2016 after retired from a manufacturing company in which I worked at the overseas department. So I experienced a lot of business with customers in Europe, Asia, Australia, and USA where my three years of living and working at the subsidiary company with my family was the most amazing experience of my life. Well, Japan has a long history including ancient remains, historic buildings and cultures at each period over 2000 years. I hope you will enjoy exploring Japan in this tour. I look forward to seeing you soon.

Title: What Can You See on a Private One-Day Tour Around Mount Fuji? A Licensed Guide's Report Since the weather was clear, the guests spent time right up until the last minute deciding whether to go to the 5th Station of Mount Fuji or to skip it and instead add more destinations, ultimately choosing the latter. I believe they were satisfied with each place we visited, though they did not seem to be the type to take many photos. At the Chureito Pagoda, one remarked, "I wonder why this place is more crowded than Kitaguchi Hongu Fuji Sengen Shrine." At the ropeway, perhaps mindful of the time, they tried to line up in the row just below. During the wind cave, the Aokigahara walk, and the ice cave, I gave explanations while walking at a somewhat brisk pace, so their reactions were not entirely clear. Still, I believe they enjoyed themselves.

I have worked as a diplomat for 48 years until last year(2024), so I think I am good at explaining anything about Japan in English. Though I’m a novice as tour guide, l promise that I will make detailed and thorough preparations for guiding you and to make your trip smooth and enjoyable. I myself like to experience various means of transportation and interested in local culture, history and food. You may be a bit concerned about my age(71 years old), but I am quite fit for work. Just to prove this I wish to say that I played 5 rounds of golf this summer month of August, 2025.

Title: What Is a Full-Day Private Tour of Tokyo Like? A Licensed Guide's Report on Shibuya, the Imperial Palace, and Asakusa The weather was fine, and the tour proceeded pleasantly. All members of the group were steady on their feet, so we moved ahead faster than scheduled. We first visited the requested Shibuya Scramble Crossing, but the guests were not particularly interested and reacted with a "let's move on," so we headed to the East Gardens of the Imperial Palace. After taking our time at Rikugien Garden, we went to a requested ramen shop, but the planned shop was full, so I guided them to a lesser-known place instead, which turned out to be decent and enjoyable. Since we were ahead of schedule with time to spare, I added Ueno Park, which had not been on the original plan. The guests were delighted by the beauty of Ueno Toshogu Shrine. In Asakusa, when we reached Hozomon Gate, they said, "This is enough here," and we headed to Roppongi Hills. These were guests who did not visit for worship, which was a first for me. I received a tip at the end of the tour.

Title: What Is a Private Day Trip from Kyoto to Hiroshima and Miyajima Like? A Licensed Guide's Report The guests were a group visiting from Europe on a day trip from Kyoto. Since they held JR Passes, the day proceeded smoothly. They were a cheerful group and thoroughly enjoyed Miyajima and Hiroshima before heading back. On Miyajima they had okonomiyaki, which they loved so much that they said they would search for a how-to video and make it at home. We walked slowly through the Peace Memorial Park while I explained the sites, but they chose not to visit the museum, saying they did not want to feel any more saddened. Instead, they said they would rather have a beer, so we took a break at a café, and they bought a suitcase at Don Quijote that a grandchild could ride on. They mentioned they would be sightseeing in Arashiyama the next day. Wherever they went, they seemed to be enjoying themselves to the fullest.

Hello! I was born and raised in Hiroshima. For many years, I accompanied Japanese tourists domestically and abroad to create enjoyable travel experiences. In the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, I’ve started to focus on rediscovering my hometown and its charm. This has inspired me to share the wonders of Hiroshima with more foreign visitors, and I’ve shifted my career to work as a local guide, welcoming you.
I love the Japanese proverb “ichigo ichie” (一期一会)(once in a lifetime opportunity)
It means to cherish each moment and every encounter, as they are unique and irreplaceable. I always look forward to meeting wonderful people with excitement and anticipation. As I guide you through Hiroshima, I hope we can share our many thoughts and deepen our mutual understanding.
I would be happy to help make your trip to Hiroshima the best experience possible!
I have a wide range of interests, including dancing, doing yoga, horseback riding, and farming. Whenever something sparks my curiosity, I can’t help but give it a try!
Would you like to spend a wonderful time together?
