They had already spent several days near Oshino Hakkai, where they enjoyed beautiful views of Mount Fuji, hot springs, and local Japanese cuisine. There they experienced a rarely encountered ceremony, accompanied by the thunderous sound of drums and the conch shell. Along with the ramen I took them to for lunch, they were able to enjoy a truly distinctive tour.     Title: What's a Private Asakusa and Ueno Walking Tour in Tokyo Like? A Licensed Guide's Report Body: The guests came from Oceania and had only replied that they wanted to visit Asakusa and Ueno. At the meeting point I could not find the group at first, but when I called out to a couple of visitors they confirmed it was them, which was a relief. When one of the guests returned from outside, I was told that one member who had been corresponding with me by email was resting in the room due to a headache, so we started the tour with the rest of the group. Since the email address included the words "gluten free," I asked about it, and learned that some of the guests followed a gluten-free and vegetarian diet, so I introduced a fully vegan restaurant in Asakusa and T's Kitchen in Ueno, which were much appreciated. As the accommodation was in Asakusa, I tried to show them as much as possible, and regarding strawberry daifuku and melon bread they said, "We'll come back here on our own." Some of the guests were quite reserved and would only speak when I addressed them, but since one of them was studying architecture at university, I brought up Kenzo Tange and Kengo Kuma, and they knew of Tange. It was a little surprising that they were not especially drawn to traditional Japanese houses. They were interested in the unique objects displayed outdoors at Tokyo University of the Arts (probably used for a school festival or similar), and everyone took photos. After finishing Ueno, I suggested T's Kitchen via either Yanaka, Akihabara, or Ameyoko, and they chose Yanaka, so we walked my usual route. Along the way I mostly talked with one of the guests about earthquakes, graves, and tattoos. As for Nezu Shrine, it was on the way to Nezu Station, so we only passed through the red torii gate, but perhaps thanks to the explanation given at Hanazono Shrine in Ueno, one of them laughed and said, "So here your wishes come true more than in Ueno, but less than in Fushimi," and we took a commemorative photo together. Being quite tall, they carefully watched their heads as they passed through the red torii (everyone was about the same height, so I always had to look up while speaking, which was a little difficult). On the way back inside JR Ueno Station, I explained the platform for the Shinkansen bound for Kanazawa, taught them how to charge a Welcome Suica, and we parted at the hotel in Asakusa. If the member who was resting recovered, they planned to head out to Ameyoko together afterward. Apart from finding one guest's pronunciation a little difficult to catch, everyone was very kind and friendly, asking and sharing all sorts of things, and I was able to spend a wonderful day. I hope the member who was unwell recovers so that the whole group can go sightseeing together.

    What Is a Private One-Day Kyoto Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report on Fushimi Inari and Gion The guests were visitors from Europe on a short, fast-paced trip covering a few nights in Japan. They had requested Fushimi Inari and Gion, and I had been thinking of adding one or two more spots since I expected we might have extra time, but that turned out to be unnecessary. At Fushimi Inari, the guests did some shopping and, feeling hungry, took their time over lunch. In Gion, they enjoyed coffee along with some sweets. After spending a little time shopping in Gion, it was getting close to 4:30 p.m., and one of the guests wanted to rest, so I saw them back to their hotel and said goodbye. It was a lovely group who cared very much for one another. I learned that sushi was a great favorite, and I would have loved to take them to enjoy some delicious sushi.

    What Is a Private Walking Tour of Kamakura Like? A Licensed Guide's Report The guests were a group visiting Japan for the first time from Oceania. After sightseeing in Tokyo, they planned to visit Hiroshima, Kyoto, Osaka, and the Nakasendo (a walk from Magome-juku to Tsumago-juku). At Sasuke Inari Shrine, the guests appeared impressed by the many red torii gates. At Zeniarai Benzaiten Ugafuku Shrine, they actually experienced the famous coin-washing ritual. At Genjiyama Park, they enjoyed taking photos in front of the statue of Minamoto no Yoritomo. At Eishoji Temple, the guests seemed impressed by the beautiful bamboo grove and other features. Since I handled everything according to the guests' wishes, I believe they were satisfied. Also, at the guests' request, all travel was on foot, so there were no transportation expenses to be reimbursed.

    Title: What Can You See on a Private Day Tour of Hakone? A Licensed Guide's Report The guests were visitors from North America, both visiting Japan for the first time. They were on a 12-day trip to Japan, having arrived at Narita Airport a few days earlier. After staying in Tokyo, they had arrived in Hakone the previous evening and checked into their hotel. They mentioned that they had enjoyed the hot spring inside the hotel the night before. The following day, around noon, they planned to travel to Kyoto via Odawara, then tour Osaka and Nara before returning to Tokyo and heading home. Their request was: "Today, we would like to visit the main spots in Hakone." We met at their hotel. It was a cloudy day with occasional light rain during the tour. We walked to Kami-Gora Station, then took the Hakone Tozan Cable Car and the Hakone Ropeway, passing through Sounzan on the way to Owakudani. I explained "the formation of Hakone" and "an overview and history of Owakudani." The guests tried the "black eggs" and also visited the Geo Museum. They asked questions such as "When were the volcanoes of Hakone formed?" "Is Owakudani an active volcano? Has it ever erupted?" and "Is Mount Fuji also an active volcano?" We took the ropeway again to Togendai. After a short wait, we boarded the "pirate ship." Despite the less-than-ideal weather, it was full of tourists. Even in the cold, the guests stayed on the upper deck the whole time and took many commemorative photos. They asked questions such as "How deep is Lake Ashi? What is the water temperature?" "Can you swim in it?" and "Can you fish here?" We disembarked at Hakone-Motohako Port and went to Hakone Shrine. I explained "the history of Hakone Shrine." Regarding the torii gate on the lake, they asked, "Why are so many people lining up to take photos?" We took a break at a café. After this, we took the Hakone Tozan Bus and the Hakone Tozan Railway to the "Hakone Open-Air Museum." By this time, the rain had stopped and the sunshine had returned. We carefully walked around the entire grounds. I explained the origins of the "Hakone Open-Air Museum." They commented, "Hakone is more relaxing and pleasant than Tokyo," and "Tokyo, especially Shibuya, was overwhelming with crowds, and I couldn't come to like it." They also remarked, "Everywhere in Japan, the towns are orderly," "There is no litter," "Everyone is polite," and "The security seems to be well maintained." I saw them off at Sounzan Station, where we parted ways (they mentioned that the hotel's car would come to pick them up at Sounzan Station).

    As a recent group travel record, in October 2023, we have a track record of guiding a group of 33 people from Singapore to Narita Airport transfer plus sightseeing in Tokyo.
    Self-introduction:
    In the past, I was stationed in Canada, the United States, and Mexico as an expatriate of a Japanese bank for over 11 years.
    Since I have been mainly involved in the financing business in the United States for a long time, I think I am able to provide interpretation and translation services related to business and finance.
    I am a certified CPA in the United States.
    In addition, for three years from April 2016, I will be engaged in Japanese-English translation work (part-time), and I can also handle translation work.
    Although I don’t have a qualification in Spanish, but I think I can handle day to day conversation in Spanish without any problems.

    What Is a Private One-Day Kyoto Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report on Kiyomizu-dera, Kinkaku-ji, and Fushimi Inari Today I guided a group visiting from North America. They had a tea ceremony experience scheduled at Ninen-zaka starting at 15:00 after this tour, so we needed to make sure to arrive there in time. To avoid the crowds at Kiyomizu-dera, we deliberately visited the nearby Kiyomizu-dera first. The grounds were not too crowded, and the guests were delighted by the beautiful autumn foliage. Afterward, we went to Kinkaku-ji, and since the weather was clear and there was no wind, the Golden Pavilion reflected on the pond was exceptionally beautiful. They enjoyed lunch as well, and Fushimi Inari Taisha happened not to be too crowded at the right timing, so they were pleased to take many great photos. While introducing shops around Gion and places such as Kodai-ji, we were able to make our way with time to spare and bring them to the location for the tea ceremony experience. I believe they enjoyed themselves.

    Title: What Is a Private One-Day Kyoto Tour Like for Guests Who Prefer Less Walking? A Licensed Guide's Report The guests this time were a group visiting Japan from Oceania for sightseeing. I handled the pre-trip consultation, such as selecting destinations, with one of the guests. My assignment was confirmed in mid-July, but even after I sent my first message, I did not receive a reply for quite a while. The travel agency representative also prompted the guests, and finally, in November, I received a response. In it, there was a request saying, "We would like to communicate in detail via a messaging app," and after that our communication took place through a messaging app. There was important information that one of the guests could not walk long distances, and a request was written asking to "avoid Kiyomizu-dera and Fushimi Inari, which have many uphill slopes." Taking this into account, the final itinerary was confirmed, starting from places close to the hotel: "Nijo Castle ⇒ Sanjusangendo ⇒ Yasaka Shrine ⇒ Nishiki Market." All travel between the destinations was done using public transportation such as the subway, buses, and the Keihan train line. On the day, the sudden cold snap that had begun the previous day continued, bringing temperatures that made it feel like winter had arrived, but there was sunshine throughout the day and the weather turned out to be fairly good. By almost exactly the scheduled time of 8:30 a.m., all the guests had gathered, and after a brief greeting and confirmation of the itinerary, we set off. All of the guests had a strong interest in Japanese history and culture, listening attentively to my explanations everywhere we visited and asking many questions. At Nijo Castle I explained samurai government and the imperial system, at Sanjusangendo and Yasaka Shrine I explained the history and characteristics of Buddhism and Shinto and their influence on the lives of modern Japanese people, and at the final stop, Nishiki Market, they experienced plenty of the food culture of the people of Kyoto. After finishing the visit to the final destination, Nishiki Market, I asked the guests for their impressions, and I received the delightful response, "We were able to have a truly wonderful experience. Thank you."

    What's a Private Kyoto Tour of Fushimi Inari and Arashiyama Like? A Licensed Guide's Report The guests visited Japan from Oceania. Since it was a special day for one of the guests, I planned a tour that avoided crowds so they could relax and take their time. At Fushimi Inari Taisha, the guests enjoyed taking photographs. They had a light meal at a taco shop located just before Fushimi Inari Station on the Keihan Line. Both of the guests said they loved tacos and mentioned that they had visited taco shops in Osaka and Tokyo during their earlier travels. After that, we took a taxi to Arashiyama. As the area near Togetsukyo Bridge was busy and slightly congested, we got out of the taxi partway and continued on foot. The guests also enjoyed taking photos at the Kimono Forest at Arashiyama Station on the Randen line. Next, we visited Tenryu-ji Temple. The autumn leaves were at their peak, and the guests were delighted to have come at such a wonderful time. We passed through the Tenryu-ji garden and headed from the garden exit to the bamboo grove. The guests enjoyed taking photographs in the bamboo grove as well. After that, we went via Arashiyama Park to Togetsukyo Bridge. The guests were surprised to learn that Japanese macaques live in Arashiyama and about the monkey park. We walked along the Katsura River, said our goodbyes in front of Togetsukyo Bridge, and parted ways.

    Hello! I’m Mako. I’m from Nara and live in Kobe city in Japan right now. I used to live in mountainous area in Nara.
    Nara is famous for deer. There is no sea in Nara. On the other hands, Kobe is one of famous port cities in Japan and famous for Kobe beef and night views.
    My favorite food is Yatsuhashi. It is one of famous sweets in Kyoto city. When I was a University student, I used to be a volunteer guide at Kiyomizu temple in Kyoto. There are many shops which sells yatsuhashi in Kyoto.

    I like traveling. I have been to Canada, South Korea, France, Australia and the United States.

    I studied English in South Florida University when I was a university student. I stayed for about 1 year. During stay in the U.S, I visited Las Vegas, New York, Boston, Miami, and so on. After that I worked at the travel company in Japan. Then I got the license of tour guide in 2014. I started to work as a tour guide in 2015.     What Is a Private Hiroshima Day Tour Like from Osaka? A Licensed Guide's Report The guests were visitors from North America who came from Osaka and planned to return to Osaka by shinkansen after the tour. It was their first time visiting Hiroshima, and they were deeply moved and saddened by the exhibits at the museum. They listened attentively as I explained the monuments within the Peace Memorial Park. Since they wished to purchase a kendama for their grandchild, I guided them to Orizuru Tower, and as they were fond of matcha, we stopped by SOKO CAFE on the way to Shukkeien Garden. Afterward, they enjoyed the scenery of Shukkeien Garden, and I called a taxi to Hiroshima Station before we said our goodbyes.
