Title: Can a Private Guide Help You Find a Specific Shop in Kyoto? A Licensed Guide's Report on Kiyomizu-dera and Fushimi Inari The guests were visitors from North America, and they were the same guests I had guided on a tour two days earlier in December. On this day I took them to Kiyomizu-dera, Yasaka Shrine, Sanjusangendo, and Fushimi Inari. During the earlier tour, one of the guests had expressed a wish to purchase a bag with a design unique to Kyoto. The only information available about the shop selling that bag was a photo taken in front of the store; neither the address nor the name of the shop was known. Using the shop's photo as a clue, and with help from the restaurant staff from the previous visit who searched online, we deduced that it was likely Okamoto Orimono, a textile shop on Chawan-zaka near Kiyomizu-dera, and we visited the shop before touring Kiyomizu-dera. Fortunately, it was the very shop the guests had been looking for, and they did a lot of shopping there. They were very pleased. Kiyomizu-dera and Fushimi Inari were quite crowded as expected, but it was not too cold, so the tour proceeded smoothly. The guests said Kiyomizu-dera was wonderful. I was very happy to have been able to take them to the shop they had been searching for.

What Is an Early-Morning Private Tour of Kyoto Like? A Licensed Guide's Report This was a private tour in Kyoto for guests from North America. Because we started early in the morning it was cold, and having arrived in Osaka two days earlier and still dealing with jet lag, the guests seemed a little tired. However, thanks to the early-morning visits, Kiyomizu-dera Temple and Fushimi Inari Taisha Shrine were uncrowded, and the guests said they enjoyed being able to experience many different things. The guests had originally hoped to visit the bamboo grove in Arashiyama as well, but since they were tired, I took them by taxi to Kawaramachi Sanjo, and after having coffee, I told them where to find secondhand bookshops and a knife shop before we parted ways.

Title: What Is a Private Guided Tour of Kanazawa Like for a First-Time Visitor to Japan? A Licensed Guide's Report Although I was unable to reach the guest beforehand, I was able to confirm that they were staying at a hotel, so I headed to the hotel and we were able to meet successfully. This was a first visit to Japan for a guest from Oceania. They had been recommended Kanazawa by others in their group who had traveled to Japan previously. The tour had been booked for two people, but I was told that only one person had been intended to join from the start. Since the guest themselves was not particularly concerned about this and thought it might have been a booking error on their part, we proceeded with the tour as planned. The guest was a little shy but had a kind and gentle personality, and even joining on their own, they thoroughly enjoyed the tour.

    Tour Itinerary

    • 09:15 @ Egret Himeji Rooftop
    • 09:30 @ Himeji Castle
    • 12:00 @ Koko-en Garden
    • 12:45 @ Sosha Shrine
    • 13:30 Disband @ JR Himeji Station

Title: What Is a Private Himeji Castle and Koko-en Garden Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report The guest was a visitor from North America traveling solo. The guest was a very strong walker, so we were able to move around very smoothly. The guest had a deep interest in Japan and was even able to read and write simple hiragana. At each spot, the guest observed everything with great interest and listened attentively to the guide's explanations. As the guest appeared to work in a field related to plants and greenery, they took particular interest in the trees and many plants at Himeji Castle and Koko-en Garden. At Koko-en, an ikebana-related event had started the previous day, and I believe the guest enjoyed it very much. I presented a handmade drawstring pouch, which the guest was very pleased to receive. The guest mentioned that they would like to return to Japan again with family members next time. Special note) Today marked the anniversary of Himeji Castle being registered as Japan's first UNESCO World Cultural Heritage site about 30 years ago (1993), so admission to both Himeji Castle and Koko-en Garden was free. I had received this information from the guest in advance. At the entrance, logo-printed plastic bags and clear files were distributed, which the guest was delighted to receive.

    Dear my guests,

This is (Mr.) Yama, greeting from Kobe, Japan.
I would like to warmly welcome you to Japan this time. I am from the city of Kobe, which is of course, well-known for very tasty Kobe Beef . You can taste
real genuine Kobe Beef here. Kobe is also called “Home of Japanese Sake” with lots of Sake breweries, and I recommend you would visit those breweries
if you have any interest in Japanese Sake as well as one aspect of Japanese cultures. Of course, you can have tastings of various kinds of Sake there.

Whenever during the tour, I always try to make it safe, pleasant and comfortable for all of the guests, which is my first priority. I am very much confident
that you can have a pleasant and unforgettable experience in Japan. Just tell me about your preference; what you would like to like to see, have, know
and eat and so on. Particularly, I hold the license for cooking qualified by the government here and maybe, I can reply you for questions related to the
foods here. In this respect, I strongly recommend you would try not only famous Japanese cuisine such as Sushi, Tempura or Suki-yaki but some
Japanese traditional local foods, like Tako-yaki, Okonomi-yaki and Kushkatsu. They are sometimes called the soul foods of Japan. Here is the brief
    explanation for these three foods.

    1) Tako-yaki
Tako-yaki is a snack filled with pieces of octopus in a batter of flour , egg and soup stock. You can call them octopus dumplings or balls. “Tako” means
octopus and “yaki” means grilled or broiled.
    2) Okonomi-yaki
This word Okonomi-yaki means “cook just as you like” and you can use whatever you like as toppings, such as beef, pork, shrimp, squid and octopus.
Okonomi-yaki is round shape and just like pancakes or pizza in shape mainly made from egg, flour and water.
    3) Kushi-katsu
Kushi-katsu is skewered cutlet or deep-fried foods on a stick. “Kushi” means skewer and “katsu” means cutlet. Various kinds of foods are used for
ingredients such as beef, pork, chicken, shrimp, squid, octopus and lots of kinds of vegetables.

Actually, the western Japan including Osaka, Kobe and Himeji is called as “Home of such local soul foods”. You should give it a try and I am sure
that you like them very much.

I sincerely hope that I can be your tour guide this time in Kobe, Osaka and Himeji. If my guests said to me after the tour, “I have had a very good
and pleasant time with you today. I hope I can come here again and name you as our guide”, which is my great pleasure. Moreover, I would be
great honored if they say “I like Japan now thanks to you”.

Looking forward to meeting you soon here.
    Doomo Arigato Gozaimasu!

Title: What's a Private Day Tour of Shirakawa-go and Takayama Like? A Licensed Guide's Report On the morning of the tour, a travel agency contacted me via a messaging app to let me know the guests would arrive late for the meeting time, and at that point I explained that the ending time could not be changed. We met at 10:40 AM and began the tour. The guests were on their first trip to Japan, visiting from North America. Because we could not make the last morning bus departing at 11:40 for the planned observation deck in Shirakawa-go, I explained that the only alternative was to walk up a steep slope on foot, and the guests decided not to go, which they kindly accepted. There was already snow in Shirakawa-go, and one of the guests, experiencing snow for the first time, enjoyed it very much. They played in the snow so much that their sleeves got soaked, so we ended up purchasing a jacket along the way. In Takayama, one of the guests enjoyed a lot of shopping at various shops along the Sanmachi Suji district. They did not seem very interested in food, so on the way to Hida Festival Forest we stopped at a convenience store where they bought snacks and ate them while traveling by car. At the Festival Forest, one of the guests happily played the large taiko drum and collected fortune slips that popped out of the mechanical puppets. Although the tour time was somewhat shortened, we were blessed with good weather and the guests were able to fully enjoy the atmosphere, nature, and culture of Shirakawa-go and Takayama.

Ishikawa in Half a Day: Shinkansen platform

    Tour Itinerary

    • Early this morning in the middle of the night, the customer's agent contacted me on WhatsApp, which I rarely use, and at the customer's request, today's start time was 12:00 and the end was until boarding the Kanazawa-to-Tokyo Shinkansen departing at 15:57.
    • The itinerary is as follows
    • 12:00 Meet at the hotel, and at the grandchild's request, walk to the Starbucks at Kanazawa Station.
    • 12:30 From Starbucks, take a taxi from the Kenrokuen Exit to Ishikawa Gate
    • 12:50 Enter Kanazawa Castle Ruins Park from Ishikawa Gate and stroll.
    • 13:30 Enter Kenrokuen from the Katsurazaka Gate and stroll
    • 14:10 Walk from the Mayumizaka Gate of Kenrokuen to the 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art, Kanazawa
    • 14:20 Enjoy all the installations on the lawn outside the 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art, Kanazawa. After that, enjoy the free zone inside the museum
    • 15:00 Return to the hotel by taxi, pick up the luggage, and head to Kanazawa Station.
    • 15:30 Arrive at the Shinkansen platform
    • 15:57 See off the customer boarding the Kagayaki No. 510 and conclude the tour.

What Can You See on a Private Kanazawa Walking Tour? A Licensed Guide's Report The guests were a group visiting from North America. Although they came from a region where the official language is Spanish, they spoke English. One of the requests was Kanazawa Castle Park and another was Kenrokuen Garden, so we visited these two places first. The guests enjoyed strolling around while taking many photos. Then, since the group had mentioned an interest in art, we visited the 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art, Kanazawa, and the guests were delighted. In particular, they enjoyed stepping inside several of the installations set on the lawn outside the museum, taking photos and enjoying the art. At the entrance to Kanazawa Castle Park, one of the staff members handed over an origami flapping crane and an origami shuriken, which the guests were pleased with and played with. For the visit to the 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art, the weather was fine, and the outdoor installations were unexpectedly beautiful. The guests also found the free zone inside interesting and enjoyable.

What's a Private Tokyo Cultural Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report The guests were a group visiting from North America. They were a very close-knit group and got along wonderfully. The guide booking had originally been made for one person, but the night before, I received an email saying there would actually be four. The office kindly handled the change in the number of guests. (Thank you very much for the swift response!) Since the guests were interested in traditional Japanese culture, they explored Hamarikyu Gardens, the Kabukiza Theatre building, and Meiji Shrine with great interest. At the same time, they seemed amazed by the contrast with the crowds in areas like Ginza, Takeshita Street, and Shibuya Center Gai. Along the way, I bought them some Yukimi Daifuku at a convenience store, which they were delighted with. Finally, after the tour had ended, I guided them to Keika Ramen in Center Gai. When I asked for their impressions after we parted ways, they were thrilled, saying, "This ramen is perfect! So delicious!" They told me they would like to stay in touch going forward, so I believe they were very satisfied.

What Is a Private One Piece Statue Tour in Kumamoto Like? A Licensed Guide's Report The guests were visitors from North America. Through messaging app exchanges the day before, they had expressed a strong wish to visit as many One Piece statues as possible, as they were big fans. The guests arranged a taxi themselves, and we visited six One Piece statues and two shrines, ending the tour at a building next to Kumamoto Station. The guests, who said it was their dream to tour the One Piece statues, were bright and energetic, and they were very happy and grateful to have been able to see five or six of the statues. They were wonderful guests who made the time together very pleasant, and it was a joy to guide them.

Hello, my name is Junichi Matsumoto.
I will be your guide on this occasion. With warm hospitality, I will do my best to help you fully enjoy and appreciate the charm of Japan.

Before becoming a guide, I worked for the Kumamoto Prefectural Government and retired in March 2023. From 2003 to 2005, I was stationed in Montana, USA, which has a sister-state relationship with Kumamoto. During that time, I actively interacted with the local community together with my family, which gave me valuable cross-cultural experiences.

I am an easygoing person who quickly builds a friendly relationship with international guests. With a sincere smile and attentive care, I always strive to provide tours that are warm, enjoyable, and memorable. It would be my great pleasure to help you make unforgettable memories during your stay in Japan.

Title: What Can You See on a 4-Hour Private Kyoto Tour? A Licensed Guide's Report Today's guests were a group visiting from North America. They stayed in Tokyo for a few days, and since they had a little time on their way to Hiroshima, they decided to stop by Kyoto. As we only had a limited window of four hours, I guided them through three popular spots in the western part of Kyoto, and after the tour they planned to explore the Monkey Park, the Bamboo Grove, and the Arashiyama Togetsukyo Bridge area on their own. Since the autumn foliage had already fallen, they were quite disappointed about missing it.
