What's a Private Walking Tour of Tokyo Like? A Licensed Guide's Report on Tsukiji, the Imperial Palace, and Meiji Shrine The guests met at the Hotel at 11:00 and we headed to Tsukiji. This was a trip to Japan by the group. One of the guests first tried a gashapon machine and was delighted with a cute cat mascot. Strolling through the Outer Market was truly a food and shopping tour. For a full two hours they thoroughly enjoyed fresh sushi, wagyu skewers, sweets, seafood, tamagoyaki, tea, dashi, purchasing a kitchen knife, and much of the lively atmosphere. They loved it so much they said they could stay in Tsukiji all day. Next we went from Kasumigaseki to the Imperial Palace. After seeing the classic Nijubashi Bridge and the statue of Kusunoki Masashige, we took a break at Kusunoki Chabo. The following stop at Kiddy Land in Omotesando took unexpectedly long, so we skipped the planned Harakado and went directly to Meiji Shrine. As the tour was nearing its end, one of the guests reported a stomachache, so after discussing it we decided to cancel the final Takeshita Street portion and return to the Hotel. I handed over a paper explaining the subway route for the way back, and we parted ways at Meiji-jingumae Station. It was a walking tour with a lot of walking over five and a half hours, but the guests were very satisfied.

Can You See Kyoto's Top Sights in One Day? A Licensed Guide's Private Tour Report The group of guests came from Europe, arriving by cruise ship after already exploring Tokyo. We were fortunate with the weather, but with a daytime high of 32°C on a midsummer day, I made sure the guests stayed well hydrated throughout the tour. The guests wished to keep lunch light so they could visit as many places as possible, so we covered nearly all of the popular spots. As it was a season with many school excursion students, we visited Nijo Castle around noon, when the students had left for lunch, so it was less crowded and we were able to view the site at a relaxed pace, which was wonderful. Fushimi Inari Taisha was also not too crowded in the evening, which was a relief. I believe the guests were satisfied.

Thank you very much for choosing JGA experience, and please allow me to briefly introduce myself. I’m Kaeko Tanigawa, your tour guide, and I have been showing tourists from abroad around mainly in Kyoto, Nara and Osaka areas. Every year I’ve guided my guests through those areas for over 80 times. I always try to do my best to help my guests explore and enjoy our unique and attractive locations, and I’ve been lucky enough to receive so many 5-star reviews from the guests I hosted. I’d like to help make your visit to Japan one of the most wonderful memories in your life. I’m really looking forward to seeing you soon. Thank you very much.

Title: What's a Private Day Tour of Miyajima and Hiroshima Peace Park Like? A Licensed Guide's Report The guests were very calm and polite. They seemed to especially enjoy Daisho-in Temple on Miyajima. On Miyajima, they savored oysters, lemon soda, and momiji manju, and they were also delighted with the okonomiyaki. At the Peace Memorial Park and the museum, they explored very attentively and said it had truly been worth coming. Since they seemed interested in origami, we folded some together and offered it at the Children's Peace Monument. They were happy that it had become a very memorable experience. After the tour, they wished to explore more of the city, so we parted ways at the Hondori shopping arcade.

What Is a Private Kyoto Day Tour Like with a Licensed Guide? Arashiyama, Tenryu-ji, and Gion Report Since the group included energetic young children, I mentioned the Arashiyama Monkey Park, and they said they very much wanted to go. At the site, they enjoyed not only the monkeys but also playing happily in a small park. We passed through Tenryu-ji Temple, strolled through the bamboo grove, and then took a taxi to a restaurant because the children had started to get bored. They regained their energy after lunch, but only briefly, as they quickly became tired again, perhaps because of the heat. I had planned to take the bus to Shijo-Kawaramachi and give a short tour around the Gion area, but on the bus one of the guests expressed a wish to take the Shinkansen on the way back. Since strolling around Gion would have extended the time, I prioritized the Shinkansen and decided not to go to Gion. They were very pleased about the Shinkansen. Because I had patiently stayed close to and supported the children, they were happy and told me, "We are so glad it was you."

Hi! My name is YUKA. I’ve got the government license in 2018 and joined a half year traning to do the guide. But a half year later I started my carreer, Covid came. I should have given up guiding. During the Covid, I’ve read many books and made my own materials to explain Japanese culture, history, etc. I love guiding because the guests expand my horizon all the time and let me know their own country and culture, etc. It is really important for us all to know each other and respect each other to make this world peace. Thank you for coming to Japan! Let’s enjoy Japan together!

Title: What Is a Private One-Day Kyoto Tour by Taxi Like in Summer? A Licensed Guide's Report The booking listed 4 adults, but the group actually included two adults and two younger members. [Japan Guide Agency (JGA Inc.)](https://www.j-g-a.org/) arranged this private one-day tour of Kyoto for a group visiting from North America. The itinerary that the guests had sent the previous week requested Kibune River, Arashiyama, Ginkaku-ji, the Suirokaku Aqueduct at Nanzen-ji, Gion, and Higashiyama. However, since younger members were in the group, and because someone asked whether Ginkaku-ji was a castle, I showed a photo of the Aqueduct and recommended Kinkaku-ji and Nijo Castle instead. The guests said they would like to go there, so we dropped Ginkaku-ji and Nanzen-ji and visited Kinkaku-ji and Nijo Castle. The guests were visitors from North America, where the summer is said to be even more humid than Japan. On hot days they preferred to stay in air-conditioned places. Around 2:00 p.m. in Kyoto, the temperature reached 34°C, which was quite hot for them. We had originally planned to view Gion from the taxi, get off at Higashiyama, and finish there, but the guests requested that we also view Higashiyama from the taxi and return to the Hotel to end the tour. The taxi arrived in front of the Hotel at 14:54, and the guests were able to get out and finish by 15:00.

What Is a Private Walking Tour of Hiroshima and Miyajima Like? A Licensed Guide's Report The guests were a group visiting Japan. Inside the memorial museum, they read through the exhibits very carefully. In the park, they seemed to enjoy themselves, responding to a group of elementary school students who called out "Hello!" to them. When I asked where they would like to end the tour, one of the guests really wanted to go to Miyajima, so I took them to a nearby JR station and ended the tour there. While traveling on the Hiroden streetcar, I explained the attractions on Miyajima and what they should try eating. Since they would be returning to Osaka the same day, I also told them how to get back to Hiroshima Station.

Hi. I’m Michi. I’m a national licensed tour guide in English.
I want to introduce many faces and charms of Japan and make your stay in Japan more fascinating and satisfying.

I was born and raised in Hiroshima. My first tour in English was as a volunteer guide for the visitors to my school when I was a junior high school student. It gave me a great opportunity to study about the atomic bomb dropped on Hiroshima.
I spent my life in Hiroshima except for 6 years; 1 year in the UK as a student and 5 years working in Singapore and Malaysia. During this period I enjoyed meeting and talking with people from different cultural backgrounds.
These experiences encouraged me to be a licensed tour guide.

In Hiroshima, there are two famous World Heritage Sites, the Atomic Bomb Dome in the Hiroshima Peace Memorial & Itsukushima Shrine in Miyajima.
I have experienced many tours of the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum & Park since I was a junior high school student. I would like to introduce you to the a-bomb legacies that are still existing in the city and the stories under the mushroom cloud.
I also would like to share time with you on a historic island, Miyajima. There is one of the most famous Shinto shrines, the Itsukushima Shrine. We can share an enjoyable time by exploring a sacred atmosphere, tradition, nature, food, etc.

I am also an official ‘A-bomb legacy successor’ designated by the City of Hiroshima. An A-bomb Legacy Successor is a memory keeper of the A-bomb survivors. To ensure that the A-bomb survivors’ experiences and desires for peace are faithfully inherited and shared with as many people as possible, the City has started a three-year training program for official ‘A-bomb Legacy Successors. ‘

Let me support your stay in Japan and I look forward to showing you the best of Japan!
    Hope to see you soon!

Title: What Is a Private Day Trip to Teshima and Naoshima Like? A Licensed Guide's Report The guests were a cheerful group visiting from Europe. They had originally hoped to see Naoshima, but since it was closed on Monday, we visited Teshima instead. The weather was cloudy during the first half of the morning, but it later cleared up and became as hot as a summer day. Since it had rained the previous day, we were fortunate. Reactions to the works at the Teshima Art Museum vary from person to person, but the guests seemed to like it. They were especially delighted by the magnificent surrounding scenery and happened to see rice planting taking place. Along the way there was a request to visit the archive of heartbeats, but adjusting the schedule was difficult, and the guests kindly understood. I had emailed the itinerary in advance to the travel agency acting as an intermediary for the guests, but the guests said it had not reached them. If they had seen it, I could have heard their requests beforehand. I would appreciate it if the intermediary travel agency could be asked to make sure the itinerary is always delivered to the guests. This was a three-week trip in Japan, during which they had traveled to Kanazawa, Shirakawa-go, Takayama, Nagasaki, Karatsu, Miyajima, Kurashiki, and other places. After Naoshima and Teshima, they were heading to Himeji and Kyoto before returning home. The meeting point was originally at a hotel near Uno Port, but the guests understood that it would be difficult for the guide to arrive from Takamatsu at the designated time, and that the ferry from Uno Port to Naoshima Miyanoura Port takes about 20 minutes, so we met at Naoshima Miyanoura Port instead. I was able to guide them enjoyably throughout the day, and the guests appeared to have a great time.

Hello. My name is Hisao Kaji. I was born in 1945. I was raised in Takamatsu City from 3 years old. So, I have been living in Takamatsu for around 75 years. I believe I know Takamatsu City and the Kagawa prefecture area very well. If you come to Takamatsu, Kagawa I think you can enjoy your tour with me. I started a Government Licensed Guide in 2019. So, I have been a licensed guide for about 5 years. My favorite destinations are Naoshima, Teshima, Ritsurin Garden, the top of Mt. Yashima and so on. I always show you an itinerary about one month before your tour date, and I will accept any questions, other favorite places you want to visit. Communicating with you, I would like to accommodate your request for your tour. I always listen to NPR on the internet to know how the world is moving and improve my English. I like conversation based upon it with my life. I stayed in the USA for 8 months for a Power Systems Engineering Course conducted by General Electric in New York State when I was 28 years old. I sometimes talk about my memory of those days with the guests. I am very happy to guide tourists because I can see the guests become happy and enjoy themselves when I am guiding better. Nothing is more wonderful than that. I welcome your visit to Takamatsu City and Kagawa Prefecture. I believe you will have a pleasant time through my guide.

I usually work as a Public Health Nurse (PHN) at a Public Health Center in Tokyo, and I hold a Registered Nurse (RN) license. Additionally, I have a Ph.D. in medical science.
Born in 1957 and raised in Tokyo, I have worked for 33 years mainly in the research and development area for some pharmaceutical companies. Then, I changed my career to nursing and entered a university to obtain a PHN and RN license. I took the Licensed Guide for preparation for the Tokyo 2020 Olympics and volunteered in the Olympic and Paralympic Games in 2021.

What Is a Private Kyoto Walking Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report The guests came to Japan to celebrate the completion of a school milestone. It was lovely to see how much they enjoyed traveling together and shared such a warm dynamic throughout the day. This time the guests requested that we visit every location listed in the "What to Expect" section. Since this was my first time attempting to cover them all, we went considerably over the scheduled time. I apologized for this, but the guests were extremely pleased and clearly enjoyed themselves, which made me happy. It is quite difficult to visit every place listed in the "What to Expect" section within the allotted time, but it seems that many guests believe all of these spots can definitely be covered. I intend to work on managing my time better going forward. My apologies. This tour was very enjoyable once again, and I look forward to the next one. Thank you very much.

Tokyo Layover Customized Tour from Narita

    Tour Itinerary

    • 1. 08:45 Meet at Narita Airport Terminal 2
    • 2. 09:50 Asakusa (Nakamise Street, Senso-ji Temple)
    • 3. 12:10 Hamarikyu Gardens
    • 4. 14:05 Shibuya Scramble Crossing
    • 5. 16:15 Disband at Narita Airport Terminal 2

What Is a Tokyo Transit Layover Tour from Narita Airport Like? A Licensed Guide's Report The guests were transit travelers passing through Narita Airport, arriving on an overnight flight, so I made a point of planning the tour with plenty of time to spare. At Narita Airport, the guests purchased a Skyliner round-trip ticket for tourists together with a 24-hour subway ticket, and I guided them around central Tokyo. This ticket can be quite good value if used well, but unfortunately it cannot be paid for by credit card. This is a significant drawback, especially since transit guests often prefer not to exchange money into Japanese yen. Because time was limited, I guided them to three of the standard spots, and they were very pleased, commenting that next time they would like to take a bit more time to explore. A Tokyo tour departing from and returning to Narita is possible, but personally I feel that a tour visiting places such as Naritasan or Sawara would be even better.

Hi, I am Nobu, a National Government Licensed Guide Interpreter (English).
I have been an English guide in Tokyo area since January 2017.
Tokyo is a wonderful city, and you may enjoy this city by yourselves.
Even so, I recommend you go around with a guide, especially if it is your first time visit to Tokyo.
A good guide will help you to understand about Tokyo and Japan as well as how to use convenient but complicated public transportations more effectively.
I am glad if I can help you to make your tour more enjoyable.
I am looking forward to meeting you in Tokyo soon!
