What Is a Private One-Day Tokyo Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report The guest was visiting from Europe. Since the guest had a Suica card, traveling by subway went smoothly. The guest particularly enjoyed taking photographs, so we spent comparatively longer at Tsukiji and Asakusa. On the other hand, the guest preferred a light lunch, so we had sandwiches at a cafe, which gave us more time to spare in the latter part of the day. From the start, I had planned to take the guest to Takeshita Street after visiting Meiji Shrine, and I also guided the guest to the Shibuya Scramble Crossing. After explaining how to get back to the hotel from Shibuya Station, we parted ways.

Hi. My name is Masafumi Miyazaki. Please call me “Sam”. I am a government-licensed guide.
I was born in Tokyo and was raised in the suburbs of Tokyo called Tama area. When I was in university, I majored in western dramas, so I am good at playing like an actor.
I like reading, listening to the music, and walking. I belong to several walking clubs, and sometimes I guide the members around Tokyo.
One of my strengths as a guide is that I know well about kombu, Japanese kelps. In December every year, I work at a traditional kombu shop in Tsukiji Fish Market. At that shop, I learned a lot of things related to kombu or other ingredients for washoku. I can explain the different characteristics of them to you.
Also, I am familiar with Japanese flowers and plants. If you stroll around a Japanese garden with me, I am sure you will be able to enjoy beautiful flowers and unique plants in every season.
I look forward to meeting you. Thank you.

Title: What's a Private Day Trip from Tokyo to Nikko Like? A Licensed Guide's Report The guests were visitors from North America. They wanted to see plenty of nature, so we decided to take the bus to Ryuzu Falls and Kegon Falls. They come from a very dry region and are not used to hot, humid weather, but they were delighted that Nikko was cooler than Tokyo, and they found the beautiful greenery very refreshing. On top of that, the weather was clear after a typhoon, and they were very satisfied. They had been watching the drama "SHOGUN," which is popular around the world right now, so they were interested in the history of the Edo period and the shogun, and they understood my explanations at Toshogu Shrine very well. Before going to Toshogu, they had bought a souvenir sweet decorated with the three monkeys at Ryuzu Falls, so they were very happy when they saw the real carving at Toshogu. They were staying in Shinjuku, but on their way to Nikko they had gotten quite lost trying to reach Kita-Senju Station. So when buying the return tickets, I helped them get a direct train from Tobu-Nikko to Shinjuku, which they also appreciated.

Hello! My name is Yumi. The Nikko area, Nasu area, in Tochigi Prefecture, and Aizu and Shirakawa area in Fukushima prefecture, where I will be guiding you, are not only surrounded by beautiful nature in all four seasons but are also full of historical attractions. Nikko, in particular, is a great place to learn about the culture and history that has shaped Japan to this day. In order for you to truly enjoy your day, I am flexible to your wishes and will prepare your day to be a great day. Because I am a local guide, you will surely see some sights that are not in the guidebooks. Is local food one of your favorite parts of your trip? I am also a sushi-making instructor for foreigners, so food is one of my specialties. I am also a certified sake navigator. Why don’t you come and enjoy a once-in-a-lifetime encounter with me?

What Is a Private Osaka Tour Like for Cruise Ship Guests? A Licensed Guide's Report The guests were a group visiting Japan. Both seemed to find walking difficult. During our correspondence beforehand there were many requests (regarding destinations, shopping, gluten-free meals, an ankle sprain, and more), and we exchanged nearly ten emails right up until just before the tour day. However, once I actually met them, the guests were very pleasant and listened attentively to my explanations. (One of them mentioned having some difficulty hearing.) One of the guests had obtained a lot of information from a friend in Japan and was very knowledgeable about the country. The destinations chosen this time were also based on that friend's advice. They were looking forward to shopping at UNIQLO and DAISO in Japan, so I guided them to the largest UNIQLO in Osaka, though they said there was no need to visit DAISO. As expected, they seemed tired from walking, and after visiting the Umeda Sky Building they enjoyed some drinks at a nearby café. They mentioned that they had left their pre-purchased tickets for the Umeda Sky Building in their room, so I offered them a discount voucher I had on hand, which pleased them greatly. After visiting UNIQLO, they planned to return to the cruise ship terminal by taxi, so I guided them to the taxi stand, explained their destination, and we parted ways.

    Dear my guests,

This is (Mr.) Yama, greeting from Kobe, Japan.
I would like to warmly welcome you to Japan this time. I am from the city of Kobe, which is of course, well-known for very tasty Kobe Beef . You can taste
real genuine Kobe Beef here. Kobe is also called “Home of Japanese Sake” with lots of Sake breweries, and I recommend you would visit those breweries
if you have any interest in Japanese Sake as well as one aspect of Japanese cultures. Of course, you can have tastings of various kinds of Sake there.

Whenever during the tour, I always try to make it safe, pleasant and comfortable for all of the guests, which is my first priority. I am very much confident
that you can have a pleasant and unforgettable experience in Japan. Just tell me about your preference; what you would like to like to see, have, know
and eat and so on. Particularly, I hold the license for cooking qualified by the government here and maybe, I can reply you for questions related to the
foods here. In this respect, I strongly recommend you would try not only famous Japanese cuisine such as Sushi, Tempura or Suki-yaki but some
Japanese traditional local foods, like Tako-yaki, Okonomi-yaki and Kushkatsu. They are sometimes called the soul foods of Japan. Here is the brief
    explanation for these three foods.

    1) Tako-yaki
Tako-yaki is a snack filled with pieces of octopus in a batter of flour , egg and soup stock. You can call them octopus dumplings or balls. “Tako” means
octopus and “yaki” means grilled or broiled.
    2) Okonomi-yaki
This word Okonomi-yaki means “cook just as you like” and you can use whatever you like as toppings, such as beef, pork, shrimp, squid and octopus.
Okonomi-yaki is round shape and just like pancakes or pizza in shape mainly made from egg, flour and water.
    3) Kushi-katsu
Kushi-katsu is skewered cutlet or deep-fried foods on a stick. “Kushi” means skewer and “katsu” means cutlet. Various kinds of foods are used for
ingredients such as beef, pork, chicken, shrimp, squid, octopus and lots of kinds of vegetables.

Actually, the western Japan including Osaka, Kobe and Himeji is called as “Home of such local soul foods”. You should give it a try and I am sure
that you like them very much.

I sincerely hope that I can be your tour guide this time in Kobe, Osaka and Himeji. If my guests said to me after the tour, “I have had a very good
and pleasant time with you today. I hope I can come here again and name you as our guide”, which is my great pleasure. Moreover, I would be
great honored if they say “I like Japan now thanks to you”.

Looking forward to meeting you soon here.
    Doomo Arigato Gozaimasu!

What Is a Private Walking Tour of Kyoto Like? A Licensed Guide's Report The guests were visitors from North America. They were strong walkers and moved at quite a fast pace. One of them also spoke quickly, so it took me a little time to adjust. They were very interested in the historical background and stories of each site, and listened attentively to the explanations at every location. There were many school-trip students around, which contributed to crowding at the various sites and on the public buses. The guests asked me to recommend a restaurant where they could eat tofu, so I introduced Tousuiro Kiyamachi Honten. They asked me to make a reservation for dinner that evening, so I called the restaurant directly and booked it on their behalf. Since we mainly used public buses, traveling between sites took some extra time. I saw the guests off at their accommodation and we parted ways.

What Is a 4-Hour Private Tokyo Walking Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report on Meiji Shrine, Shibuya, and Asakusa The guests were visitors from North America. As I heard this was their first time traveling abroad and their first passport, my desire to show and share many things with them, hoping they would take in a variety of experiences, grew stronger. At Meiji Shrine it was raining, but the guests seemed to quietly take in the serene and sacred atmosphere. Since a 4-hour tour did not leave time to sit down for lunch, I instead guided them to a popular handmade onigiri shop in the underground area of Shibuya, and they were very pleased. In Asakusa, they mentioned they wanted to eat ramen, so I took them to a ramen shop at the end before we said goodbye.

Can You Do a Private Kyoto Day Tour Covering Arashiyama and Fushimi Inari? A Licensed Guide's Report The guests were a group visiting from North America. Since they had eaten a large breakfast, they said lunch was not needed during the itinerary, so we visited five locations (the last being a drop-off at Fushimi Inari with no guiding). Jojakko-ji Temple involves a significant uphill climb, so I usually do not recommend it, but it was included at the request of one of the guests. However, one of the guests had sore feet and waited in the car. For the following bamboo grove, we would normally walk up, but out of consideration we drove up to Okochi Sanso Villa and then walked down the bamboo grove path, so everyone was able to see it without any problem. In the end, they wished to have lunch at Fushimi Inari, so I guided them to a dining area and we parted ways there.

They were very calm and easygoing, and enjoy various sports. The itinerary went smoothly, and we decided on the spur of the moment to add a visit to Hida Folk Village. The guests were interested in the gassho-style thatched houses and said they were glad to learn about silkworm farming. While we were enjoying pudding-flavored soft serve together in the old townscape, the idea to add the visit came up in the course of our conversation, and luckily we made it in time for the bus, so we were able to use our time efficiently. Tokyo Private Tour Report: What Does a First-Time Full-Day Tour of Tokyo with a Licensed Guide Include? [Japan Guide Agency (JGA Inc.)](https://www.j-g-a.org/) guide led a private full-day tour of Tokyo for a group visiting Japan for the first time from North America. After explaining the history and culture of Tokyo and Japan in the hotel lobby, the tour began at Meiji Shrine. When I explained that this large forest had grown in just a little over a hundred years, the guests were deeply impressed. They purchased several omamori charms as souvenirs. They took an interest in an animal cafe on Takeshita Street in Harajuku, and at a newly opened sweets shop they promptly bought some treats to taste. While strolling through the Tsukiji Outer Market, we were caught in a sudden heavy rain, so we had an early lunch of teppanyaki wagyu beef. Everyone was satisfied with both the delicious flavor and the reasonable price.

Title: What's a Private Osaka Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report I guided the guests visiting from North America. This trip had been planned before the pandemic, and the guests said they were very happy that it had finally come true. One of the guests had watched Japanese anime since childhood, and one of the goals of this trip was to buy some older video games; they had already visited Akihabara in Tokyo. We moved around with breaks along the way, taking things at a comfortable pace. Since there was a limit to how much walking was practical in a day, the guests wanted to travel to Namba by taxi, so I saw them into a taxi in front of the Hotel and said goodbye. The guests told me it had been a very enjoyable tour and that they had learned many things about Japan.

Hello. My name is Momoyo Kanagawa. I’ve been a certified interpreter guide for 7 years. I have experience guiding not only in the Kansai
area such as Kyoto, Osaka, and Nara, but also in the Tokyo area. I have a passion for sharing the rich history and culture of Japan.
Japan is a beautiful country with diverse culture and nature. If you come to Japan, you might be able to experience things like:
Sight: You can see the scenery of cherry blossom petals dancing in the wind, or the majestic figure of Mt. Fuji.
Hearing: You can hear the sound of traditional instruments such as Japanese drums and shakuhachi, or the lively atmosphere of festivals and fireworks.
Touch: You can relax in a hot spring, or try on Japanese costumes such as kimono and yukata.
Taste: You can taste famous Japanese dishes such as sushi, tempura, ramen, or Japanese drinks such as matcha and sake.
Smell: You can smell the fragrance of incense and flowers, or feel the unique air of temples and shrines.
These are just some of the charms of Japan. There are still many things to discover in Japan. Please use your five senses and feel the wonder of Japan.
I’m excited to be able to explore Japan together with you and make your visit memorable! I will escort you with the best hospitality.

Osaka to Kyoto Day Trip: What Is a Private Kyoto Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report The guests were visitors from North America, on what was effectively their first trip to Japan. They traveled from Tokyo to Osaka by cruise, and their itinerary included a day trip to Kyoto, with the plans arranged slightly to match their requests. Some of the guests thoroughly enjoyed the trip by eating, drinking, shopping, and chatting along the way. In addition to history and Kyoto's culture, they were curious about everyday life in Japan and asked many questions about it. Other guests asked a variety of questions about Japanese history and culture. They mentioned that the next day they would like to explore Osaka on foot and eat Osaka-style okonomiyaki.
