Title: What's a Private Walking Tour of Tsukiji and Yanaka Like in Tokyo? A Licensed Guide's Report The guests were visitors from North America. I guided them according to their requests. Since they had eaten a large breakfast at Tsukiji, they said they would come back the next day, so I recommended a good sushi restaurant for them. At Namiyoke Shrine they bought a charm and drew omikuji fortunes, and at a folding-box shop they purchased kokeshi dolls and temari balls. They really liked the atmosphere of Yanaka, and after tasting sake at a shop we passed along the way (which was actually a horse meat shop), each of them enjoyed a glass. They were very fond of the chiyogami paper at Isetatsu and bought several pieces. I introduced them to a ticket-purchasing website for kabuki, which they showed interest in, and I recommended Kagurazaka as a place likely to suit their tastes. They were very pleasant, and I was able to spend an enjoyable time with them.

Hello!! I’m Takako. Thank you for seeing my page. I’ve been showing guests around Tokyo, Yokohama and Kamakura for over six years. There are various things from historic sites, shrines and temples to cultural spots, good restaurants and anime shops in Japan.
I love watching sumo wrestling, Japanese traditional sport.

What Does a Full-Day Private Tour of Tokyo Look Like? A Licensed Guide's Report on the Imperial Palace, Meiji Shrine, Shibuya, and Asakusa Although there was a small miscommunication beforehand, the tour started without any real issues and finished smoothly. For the itinerary, I guided the group along a classic route that included the Imperial Palace, Meiji Shrine, and Shibuya, which they had requested in advance, with Asakusa added as well, and I believe they were satisfied. We caught a little rain at the Imperial Palace, but the weather was overall reasonable, and I think they were able to enjoy the day fully. This time they had also climbed Mount Fuji, yet they showed no signs of fatigue right through to the end. For the meal, the group had requested "ordinary Japanese food" such as ramen, tonkatsu, and tempura, so I guided them to a restaurant in Asakusa, and they were very pleased. Before meeting the guests, I had the impression they might be a little difficult, but they turned out to be cheerful and easy to get along with, and the tour ended on a very enjoyable note.

Hi, I am Nobu, a National Government Licensed Guide Interpreter (English).
I have been an English guide in Tokyo area since January 2017.
Tokyo is a wonderful city, and you may enjoy this city by yourselves.
Even so, I recommend you go around with a guide, especially if it is your first time visit to Tokyo.
A good guide will help you to understand about Tokyo and Japan as well as how to use convenient but complicated public transportations more effectively.
I am glad if I can help you to make your tour more enjoyable.
I am looking forward to meeting you in Tokyo soon!

Can You Do a Private Tour of Hiroshima's Peace Memorial Park and Miyajima? A Licensed Guide's Report The guests were a group visiting from Europe. The booking was made through a local travel agency in Europe. It was the same agency as the guests from Europe a month earlier, so communication was easy. We had planned to depart from Hiroshima Station, but the train schedule was disrupted, perhaps due to an accident, so unlike usual we visited the Peace Memorial Park first. To my surprise, a new device had been installed at the exit of the main exhibition hall of the museum, allowing visitors to indicate their level of satisfaction. In Hiroshima, multilingual pamphlets are prepared for international visitors, but as expected there was none in Portuguese, so we used a Spanish pamphlet as a substitute.

Originally, I’m a cycling guide doing cycling tours all over Japan.
But, already done Hiroshima & Miyajima tour more than 400 times.
I traveled many countries in my younger days. I traveled Europe, US, China, India, US, Mexico, Peru Australia, NZ, and so on.
I decided to use this experience to become a guide.
I’m afraid but no tipping required, because cycling guides are not allowed to have tipping in my association. And you do not need to pay for my lunch, because my lunch is prepared by our group.
Please do not hesitate to ask me anything, I’ll change the plan according to your requests.
Thank you for your understanding and please stay connected.

What Is a Private Arashiyama Walking Tour in Kyoto Like? A Licensed Guide's Report Today's guests were a group visiting from Asia. They mentioned that they had been to Japan many times before and that they came during a national holiday this time. Since they had requested a tour of Arashiyama, we first visited Tenryu-ji Temple. I gave a brief explanation about the Japanese garden. After that, we visited the Arashiyama Bamboo Grove. It was not very crowded today, which was fortunate. We then strolled through Kameyama Park and I introduced the monument commemorating Premier Zhou Enlai. We crossed the Togetsukyo Bridge and had a late lunch. To make it in time for the sightseeing tram they had already reserved, I took them to Torokko Saga Station, where we parted ways. I believe it was a pleasant and relaxed tour.

    • 17:00 Moxy Kyoto Nijo

Title: What's a Private One-Day Kyoto Tour with Kids Like? A Licensed Guide's Report The guests were a group visiting from Oceania, some of whom were school-aged, so I proposed an itinerary that included the Monkey Park. The route was as follows: Hotel → Fushimi Inari → Sanjusangendo → lunch (a Kyoto cuisine restaurant) → Arashiyama Monkey Park → the Bamboo Grove Path in Arashiyama → Kinkaku-ji → Hotel. One of the younger guests showed signs of fatigue even while climbing the steps at Fushimi Inari in the morning and was quite fussy, so I was worried about whether the Monkey Park would be manageable. However, other members of the group said it was "the usual" and firmly encouraged them to keep standing and walking, so we completed the climb while taking plenty of breaks. In the end, the moment this guest saw the monkeys at the top, they suddenly cheered up and started running around energetically. Another young guest, who was very bright, asked me many questions. These went beyond sightseeing spots, Japanese culture, and customs, touching on things that adults do not usually question, such as "Why is it forbidden to photograph the Buddhist statues in temples?", "Why are children in Japan so well-behaved?", and "Why isn't one Australian dollar equal to one yen?" Many of these were topics I had to think through carefully and organize in order to answer. A big hit was the sukiyaki set for lunch. Everyone enjoyed the hands-on experience of cooking the hot pot themselves and savored the wagyu beef that seemed to melt in the mouth.

My name is Masaki Kitagawa, a male in the middle of 50s living in Kyoto with my wife, son and three cats. While working for a local energy company on weekdays, I’ve been a tour guide on weekends since 2019 and enjoy interacting with people coming from different worlds. It is my great pleasure to help you make your excursion time-efficient and pleasant even during the high seasons in Kyoto. Considering your interests, preferences and priorities, I want to design and make your journey fruitful one. I’m thrilled to be contacted from you. Let’s explore Kyoto !

What Is a Private Kyoto Day Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report The guests were visitors from North America, planning to stay in Japan for a total of about two and a half weeks, with five days of sightseeing in Kyoto. Of these, I had the pleasure of attending to them for two consecutive days, today and tomorrow. They had heard many recommendations from a friend and had very particular preferences, so I proceeded with the itinerary while consulting with them in the car as we went, also listening to their shopping requests. They did not like crowded places, and were very pleased with the quiet atmosphere of Shisen-do and Enko-ji temples. We were also able to visit Shugakuin Imperial Villa through same-day registration, though unlike midsummer, it had become quite crowded now that October had begun. The driver was also very cooperative this time, which allowed everything to proceed smoothly.

What Is a Private Kyoto Day Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report on Nijo Castle, Fushimi Inari, and Sanjusangendo The guests were a group visiting from Europe who had arrived in Kyoto the previous day via Kansai International Airport. The trip was a special commemorative journey. At Nijo Castle, the guests admired the architecture of the Karamon Gate and the Ninomaru Palace. We also discussed the power of the Tokugawa shogunate and the world situation that led to the return of political power to the Emperor. At Fushimi Inari, the guests were surprised by the Senbon Torii and the large number of worshippers. We also talked about the Japanese feelings toward Shinto and about faith and belief. At Sanjusangendo, the guests were captivated by the sculptures of the Thousand-Armed Kannon and the twenty-eight guardian deities. The daytime heat, along with the temperature difference from their home region, left one of the guests a little tired, but we moved at a relaxed pace with rest breaks and parted ways at Nishiki Market.

They were both very friendly, and the conversation flowed easily. The weather was pleasant, so at Meiji Shrine we enjoyed the forest, and in Asakusa we soaked up the atmosphere of the old downtown district and stopped by long-established shops. They were delighted with a soba lunch at Owariya, a restaurant founded 162 years ago. In Ginza, they enjoyed the latest cars at the Nissan showroom. At the Imperial Palace, there were many questions about the imperial family, politics, and Japanese business in the Marunouchi district, making for a rich and engaging conversation. I took them to Akihabara, where the tour concluded.

From the seven sightseeing spots they had requested, and taking into account the afternoon start time and the viewing hours of each site, I planned the itinerary above. They explored each location with great interest and seemed to fully enjoy the atmosphere of Kyoto. At Kiyomizu-dera, they were delighted to see a beautiful sunset from the west gate. The long distances on foot seemed to tire some of the guests a little, but after eating ramen in Gion they said it was delicious and regained their energy, and they were also charmed by Hanamikoji Street in the evening. What Is a Private Tokyo Day Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report on Asakusa and Akihabara The guests arrived in Japan two days ago from Oceania. They planned to stay in Tokyo for a while, then travel through Hakone, Hiroshima, Kyoto, and Osaka before returning to Tokyo to fly home. They had joined a tour the previous day and seemed to have thoroughly enjoyed a full day at Meiji Shrine, Takeshita Street, Shibuya, and Skytree. When I asked the guests whether they were tired from the day before, they replied that they were full of energy again this morning. At Nakamise, one of the guests bought a beckoning cat as they had hoped, and we took a short break at a soft-serve ice cream shop. In Akihabara, we took a commemorative photo in front of a parked Lamborghini (with the driver's permission). The guests who love cars were delighted.

Hello (Konnichiwa). My name is Masanori SUGANO. Most of my friends call me Bruce, so you can call me Bruce. It would be my pleasure to act as a guide for you as I have been a guide for over twenty years. I curate my tours to suit your quest for knowledge and make you laugh with Dad jokes as an ice breaker. I can add some of my experiences as seasoning since I’m a seasoned guide. I always gain a new perspective through my guests’ eyes, and that’s why I am passionate about my job.
You can create your own itinerary, and when we meet, you can let me know what things you want to see. I am very flexible and can go off the beaten track on your request.
Should you have any questions, please feel free to contact me. I am looking forward to meeting you.
    Thank you (Arigatou-gozaimasu).
