What's a 6-Hour Private Tour of Tokyo with a Vehicle Like? A Licensed Guide's Report
The guests were visitors from North America on a private 6-hour tour of Tokyo with a vehicle, under sunny skies at 25°C.
[First stop] Asakusa We strolled through Kaminarimon Gate, Nakamise Shopping Street, and Senso-ji Temple. The guests experienced Japanese culture, including the smoke of the large incense burner, drawing omikuji fortunes, the purification water pavilion, and praying at Senso-ji Temple. I explained Buddhism and Shinto.
[Second stop] Imperial Palace We went to the Imperial Palace along the route used for the ceremony of presentation of credentials. We were lucky to see the changing of the guards at the main gate.
[Third stop] Tsukiji Outer Market While walking through the market, the guests enjoyed street food such as fresh sea urchin and sushi.
[Fourth stop] Shinjuku Gyoen As time was running short, we only visited the greenhouse.
[Fifth stop] Meiji Shrine Here too, we quickly made our way through to the main hall.
[Sixth stop] Shibuya Scramble Crossing Since there was a 2:00 PM reservation check-in at Shibuya Sky, I showed the guests where the crossing was, told them "this is the crossing, come back later and take your time," guided them to the Shibuya Sky reception, and we parted ways.

The Toyosu tuna auction experience was incredible. I have always wanted to see the auction but until this trip had not managed to fit it into my itinerary. So on this trip I decided to make the early morning effort to see it and in the process I was fortunate to win the lottery and get an even better view of the whole experience ! A shout out to my guide who made the experience first rate, Katsu-San. Katsu-sans knowledge of the market and the tuna auction process, and his enthusiasm to share it, was exceptional. I would recommend him and the tour without hesitation . I would not have understand what I was seeing without his guidance and good humour.

My family including two teenage sons had a fantastic morning with Gorelio!! He was prompt meeting us at our hotel and then we took a taxi to the tuna auction. Very knowledgeable about the auction process and was able to provide us with visual guides. We then took a bus to the outdoor market. He was able to recommend some excellent stalls to eat at! Highly recommend this tour and guide!
