I became a national government licensed tour guide in 2010. I am also certified as a Kyoto Visitors Host.
In my free time, I definitely like to travel. Also, I like to practice yoga, spend time with my cats and I learn Spanish to stimulate my brain.
Since 2010, I have been working as a tour guide for the tourists from various countries:
1.Group tours of 5-16 days for 10 people up to 30 people visiting popular tourist destinations throughout Japan.
2.Private tours of 1 day up to 3 days for 1-8 people in Kyoto, Nara, Osaka, Kanazawa Nagano and the Mt. Fuji area.
I like to show my guests various aspects of unique Japanese culture, such as Japanese gardens, Buddhist sculptures, temples and shrines, Zen Buddhism and Japanese food. Since I am an experienced person who has lived in Japan all my life, I feel that I can chat about everyday life with my guests, something I think that foreign visitors are interested in.
I would like to help my guests enjoy unique, interesting, beautiful and delicious Japan, making the most of their time on the tour.

Our guide Tomoko gave us one of the best days while in Japan after arriving bang on time at our hotel then discussing the day ahead while fine tuning the day around what we wanted.
We were recommended visiting sites that we had not heard about, also take us routes that didn’t hit loads of crowds where possible.
Tomoko found us a great place to have vegan food for lunch. We appreciated the extensive knowledge; which was witty and engaging. To top it all off we were regularly asked if we would like our photos taken at the key places we visited on the day, which served to give us some amazing memories of our special tour in Kyoto.
A huge thanks to Tomoko
