What Is a Private Hiroshima and Miyajima Day Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report The guests were visitors from North America on a trip to Japan. Since the memorial museum gets especially crowded in the afternoon, I always aim to visit either first thing in the morning or around lunchtime. One of the guests was very knowledgeable about history, so at times my explanations took the form of adding to that existing knowledge. For lunch, I recommended okonomiyaki, and the guests were both satisfied and finished their meals completely. We visited Miyajima at high tide, but the guests were also very interested in what it looks like at low tide. Although the guests already had return tickets, we tried to change to an earlier service, but it was fully booked. Since they had a JR Pass, I recommended a service transferring at Okayama and reserved seats. I also advised them that they could try the non-reserved seats at Hiroshima Station. I took many photos during the tour. The guests had a strong interest in Asian culture and had long wished to visit Japan, so it seemed this wish had come true. They said they would like to visit Japan again, so I recommended several places for their next trip.

I was born and raised in Hiroshima. My first tour in English was as a volunteer guide for the visitors to my school when I was a junior high school student. It gave me a great opportunity to study about the atomic bomb dropped on Hiroshima.
I spent my life in Hiroshima except for 6 years; 1 year in the UK as a student and 5 years working in Singapore and Malaysia. During this period I enjoyed meeting and talking with people from different cultural backgrounds.
These experiences encouraged me to be a licensed tour guide.

In Hiroshima, there are two famous World Heritage Sites, the Atomic Bomb Dome in the Hiroshima Peace Memorial & Itsukushima Shrine in Miyajima.
I have experienced many tours of the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum & Park since I was a junior high school student. I would like to introduce you to the a-bomb legacies that are still existing in the city and the stories under the mushroom cloud.
I also would like to share time with you on a historic island, Miyajima. There is one of the most famous Shinto shrines, the Itsukushima Shrine. We can share an enjoyable time by exploring a sacred atmosphere, tradition, nature, food, etc.

I am also an official ‘A-bomb legacy successor’ designated by the City of Hiroshima. An A-bomb Legacy Successor is a memory keeper of the A-bomb survivors. To ensure that the A-bomb survivors’ experiences and desires for peace are faithfully inherited and shared with as many people as possible, the City has started a three-year training program for official ‘A-bomb Legacy Successors. ‘

What Does a Private One-Day Tokyo Tour Include? A Licensed Guide's Report The guests were visitors from North America who were visiting Japan for the first time. After sightseeing in Tokyo, they planned to travel to Nagano, Kanazawa, Kyoto, and Hakone, so they asked for help obtaining a JR PASS, and I guided them to the center at Tokyo Station to assist with the purchase. At Tsukiji Market, they showed great interest in the lively atmosphere of the sushi and other shops. At Meiji Shrine, they seemed impressed by the quiet and solemn atmosphere. At the Imperial Palace, they listened with interest to historical explanations about the role of the Emperor, the Meiji Restoration, and the Edo shogunate. At Senso-ji Temple, they listened with interest to explanations about the differences between temples and shrines. Since the guests had a reservation for the Tokyo Skytree after the tour, I guided them to the entrance of the Tokyo Skytree and we parted ways there. I responded to all of the guests' requests, so I believe they were satisfied.

What Is a Private Kyoto and Nara Day Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report The guests were visiting Japan for the first time from North America, and their native language was Spanish. One of the guests was mainly in charge of taking photographs, while another directed the shots, indicating the subjects to capture. At Kyoto Station, the guests exchanged US dollars for Japanese yen before boarding. Questions directed to me were handled by one of the guests. At the last place we visited, a traditional townhouse, they took a great number of photographs. The photography skills of the guest in charge of shooting were quite impressive. Perhaps because of the cold weather, sites such as Todai-ji Temple were not as crowded with tourists as usual. The number of school excursion students stood out. Title: What Is a Private Tsukiji and Imperial Palace Tour in Tokyo Like? A Licensed Guide's Report The guests were visitors from North America. They had come to Japan several times before, but this was their first visit focused mainly on sightseeing, timed to coincide with a motor show. At Tsukiji, the group liked a ceramics shop I introduced and purchased some small plates. At the East Gardens of the Imperial Palace, one of the guests had brought an SLR camera and enjoyed taking photographs, so I pointed out various scenic spots. Since another of the guests was fond of greenery and flowers, they were especially delighted by the Ninomaru Garden. As the group planned to go to the Tokyo Skytree after the tour, I explained how to get there before we parted ways.

What Can You See on a Private Car Tour of Tokyo Before a Cruise Departure? A Licensed Guide's Report The guests were a group from Europe visiting Japan for the first time. Because of the departure time of their cruise ship, they needed to return to Daikoku Pier by 18:45, which shaped the itinerary as described above. Some of the guests enjoyed taking photos in Shibuya and shopping at stores in Harajuku. At Rikugien, the group was impressed by the beautiful Japanese garden and listened with great interest to the historical explanations about Yanagisawa Yoshiyasu, who created Rikugien, as well as the Edo Shogunate and the Tokugawa shoguns. The guests also enjoyed views of Tokyo from the car, including Tokyo Tower and the Rainbow Bridge. Since I responded exactly to the guests' requests, I believe they were satisfied. As this tour used a private chartered vehicle, there were no advance transportation expenses to be reimbursed.

What Is a Private One-Day Kyoto Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report on Fushimi Inari, Kiyomizu-dera, and Kinkaku-ji The guests were a group from North America. After spending five days in Tokyo, they arrived in Kyoto the previous day. One member of the group smoked, so we occasionally looked for smoking areas. Fushimi Inari Taisha was already crowded with many tourists, but we managed to take a nice group photo at the Senbon Torii. The line for the Omokaru-ishi stones was extremely long, so we skipped it and instead had them try the Neagari-ishi stone. At Kiyomizu-dera, there was a moment when I had to pause my explanation of the temple because an announcement about a lost item came through the speakers at an extremely loud volume. Everyone drank the water at the Otowa Waterfall. On the way to Sannenzaka, they stopped at various shops and enjoyed some street food, which put us significantly behind schedule. As a result, at Gion we basically limited ourselves to a light stroll around the Tatsumibashi Bridge area, and at Nijo Castle we only walked through the Ninomaru Palace and skipped the Ninomaru Garden. This allowed us to view Kinkaku-ji at a leisurely pace, but even so we were slightly short on time, and the guests paid the driver's 30-minute extension fee of ¥2,950. I saw the guests off at their hotel and we parted ways there. The sky was clear, but it was a day with a cold wind.

Early Morning Toyosu Fish Market and Tsukiji Outer Market Private Tour in Tokyo: A Licensed Guide's Report The guests were a group of visitors from North America. One of the guests had previously visited Japan for work seven years ago, while all the others were visiting Japan for the first time. They are all colleagues in the real estate business who occasionally gather to enjoy overseas travel together. They arrived in Japan in November, staying only in Tokyo, and planned to return home the day after next. So far, they had strolled through Ginza, Roppongi, and Asakusa, and today they planned to visit teamLab afterward. At 5:10am, we arrived at the south side of the main entrance of Toyosu Market. First, we went to the Fisheries Wholesale Market Building. They watched the tuna auction with great interest. I explained "the history of Tokyo's fish markets," "the differences between Toyosu Market and the Tsukiji Outer Market," and "the differences between the wholesale market and the intermediate wholesale market." There were questions such as "Where is the tuna caught?", "Is all the tuna from around the world sent to Toyosu Market?", "When are the market's holidays?", "What kinds of tuna are there, and which tuna is the most expensive?", and "How many are auctioned per day?" There were also questions like "How much does a single tuna cost?" and "Which part of the tuna is the most delicious?" From the second-floor general observation corridor, the "fresh tuna" auction below could not be seen well. They said, "It's a shame we couldn't view it from the special observation deck." After this, we visited the Fisheries Intermediate Wholesale Market Building. There were questions such as "What kind of people come here to make purchases?" and "We'd really like to go inside and look around; is that not allowed?" We took the Yurikamome and the subway to move to the Tsukiji Outer Market, and slowly walked a full loop through the area. Because it was early morning, none of the shops were open yet. We looked around the various shops here and there, and they sampled "roasted soybeans" and "dried squid," and bought large quantities. They said, "We'd like to eat sushi here for breakfast," so we went to a restaurant. There was also a comment: "The streets are so clean. There's no litter on the ground." There were also comments and questions such as "We don't see any homeless people," and "There are no trash cans anywhere in the streets. Why is that?" They also said, "We really want to buy kitchen knives, so please tell us how to get to Kappabashi Kitchenware Street." They said they wanted to return to their accommodation once, so I saw them off at Daimon Station, where we parted ways.

As a recent group travel record, in October 2023, we have a track record of guiding a group of 33 people from Singapore to Narita Airport transfer plus sightseeing in Tokyo.
Self-introduction:
In the past, I was stationed in Canada, the United States, and Mexico as an expatriate of a Japanese bank for over 11 years.
Since I have been mainly involved in the financing business in the United States for a long time, I think I am able to provide interpretation and translation services related to business and finance.
I am a certified CPA in the United States.
In addition, for three years from April 2016, I will be engaged in Japanese-English translation work (part-time), and I can also handle translation work.
Although I don’t have a qualification in Spanish, but I think I can handle day to day conversation in Spanish without any problems.
My hobby is trekking and from time to time, take a walk around mountains near Tokyo like Mt. Takao, Tanzawa, etc. I think it is possible to provide tourist information here as well.
Since April 2015, I have been working as a Tokyo Metropolitan Tourism Volunteer and Tokyo Metropolitan Disaster Prevention Volunteer.
One more, I have a separate house near Asuka Village, Nara prefecture, and I stay there for a total of about 30 days every year and have been enjoying sightseeing personally in the vicinity. Therefore, I think in the Kansai region, especially in Nara, Asuka, Yoshino, Koyasan, Kumano Kodo, etc., where I think I will be able to tour guide with confidence.

What Is a Private Walking Tour of Kamakura Like? A Licensed Guide's Report The tour was originally planned for two participants, but as one of the guests was unable to attend on the day, I ended up guiding the remaining guest privately. From the spots the guest had hoped to see, I decided to leave out Meigetsuin, which was out of season, and focus mainly on Zeniarai Benzaiten, Hokokuji Temple, Tsurugaoka Hachimangu, and Kotokuin. Given the steep slope in front of Zeniarai Benzaiten, I initially wondered whether we should use a taxi at the start, but the guest walked at a brisk pace, faster than I did, so I felt reassured and planned an itinerary centered mainly on walking. After guiding the guest through Zeniarai Benzaiten, I also took them to the nearby Sasuke Inari Shrine. The restaurant we used for lunch was on the second floor of a building adjacent to the station, a place I had been keeping in mind for some time. This time we had to wait a little because a group of customers had arrived unexpectedly, but since it is close to the station and usually has plenty of seating, I would like to use it again in the future. In the afternoon, after guiding the guest through Kotokuin, we strolled around Hasedera Temple, but as we still had time left, I finally took them to Myohonji Temple and Hongakuji Temple, both close to Kamakura Station. Since the guest was collecting goshuin stamps, I may have been able to contribute a little to their collection. This was the first time I included Zeniarai Benzaiten in an itinerary, and I have listed the cost of incense and candles required when borrowing the basket for washing coins as a reimbursable expense. If this is not eligible, please feel free to omit it.

Title: What Is a Private Tokyo Walking Tour Like for Guests Who Prefer Less Walking? A Licensed Guide's Report The guests did not use a messaging app, and email exchanges were not frequent, so I was worried when they had not appeared by the meeting time, but we were able to meet up five minutes later. At the Hotel, the front desk is located quite far from the entrance, and it usually feels difficult to walk in, so tours that designate this spot as the meeting point always make me a little nervous. One of the guests appeared to have recently injured their lower back, and going up and down stairs seemed quite difficult. During the tour I tried to use elevators and escalators as much as possible, and we traveled by taxi between Kamiyacho Station and Tokyo Tower, and again after finishing the guiding in Shibuya. I selected spots that involved little walking while still conveying the atmosphere of Tokyo. Since the East Gardens were closed that day, I limited the Imperial Palace portion to the area around the Kikyo-bori moat, but I think it was reasonably well received.

What Is a Private Kumamoto Day Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report The guests used a wheelchair during the tour, so moving between places took longer than usual, and I made sure to proceed carefully to avoid any accidents. The guests were interested in swords and had hoped to find related decorative items, but there were none available, and the exchange about this took more time than expected, so three planned stops were omitted. The guests have a Japanese garden at home, and they seemed to enjoy Suizenji Jojuen Garden at twilight. Since the guests preferred to sightsee rather than wait at the airport, but everywhere closes at 5:00, I guided them to a nearby park and the limousine bus stop.
