What Is a Private One-Day Kyoto Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report on Fushimi Inari and Arashiyama The guests were visiting Japan for the first time from North America. They were very cheerful and excited about seeing Kyoto for the first time. On this day, the rain that had continued until early morning had cleared by our departure, and the temperature was on the warmer side, so I believe we were able to enjoy a comfortable tour. At both Fushimi Inari Taisha and Arashiyama, they took photographs frequently and picked up their favorite souvenirs. They also mentioned that they would be heading to Osaka, Hakone, and Tokyo afterward, and asked me various questions about arrangements along the way, which I answered carefully. Overall, I believe they were very satisfied.

What Is a Private Hakone Day Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report Although the booking was received only three days before the tour and contact had been difficult, with the kind assistance of [Japan Guide Agency (JGA Inc.)](https://www.j-g-a.org/), I was able to complete the guiding without any problems. As a result, I accompanied a lovely group from North America and enjoyed a cheerful and pleasant day guiding them through Hakone, which had no snow at the time. Having traveled to Japan several times before, the guests were more interested in nature on this Hakone tour. In addition to Mount Fuji, they showed strong interest in the torii gate of Hakone Shrine, and they waited in line for nearly an hour at the lakeside torii photo spot, delighted to have taken wonderful photos. From the very start of the tour, they had requested Hatsuhana soba, so I explained the menu, helped with the order, and then took my leave.

Welcome to Japan. I hope you are going to enjoy your stay.

    Who am I?
I am a Licensed Guide Interpreter at an age of 61.
I got an early retirement from 36 yrs of the employment in a Japanese financial sector.
I hope I can attend to you with the Japanese politeness, hospitality and smile.

    What can I be expected?
I would like to introduce the photogenic sites, the indigenous experiences
and good Japanese local food around Tokyo, Hakone/Mt Fuji.
I might be able to show you the features of shrine and temple with a religious manner if you’d like.
As a matter of fact, I don’t have a specific religion to believe, though.
I love Japan and that’s why I started a new career as a guide.

    What do I love?
Most of all, my family. I have a wife 56 yrs old, a son 28 yrs old and a daughter 25 yrs old.
I like eating raw fish and sushi, buckwheat noodles and curry rice.

How do I spend my spear time?
I run for 5 km in the morning listening to my favorite music.
I might have a chance to go to a studio program in the fitness club nearby once a week.

I look forward to meeting you soon.
    Thank you.

Title: What Is a Private Walking Tour of Tokyo Like? A Licensed Guide's Report on the Imperial Palace, Otemachi, and Harajuku Body: Blessed with clear skies, this was a walking tour enjoyed with relaxed conversation from start to finish. When I asked in advance about lunch preferences, there was a request for chicken katsu curry, but it was difficult to find a restaurant serving it near the Imperial Palace. I took the guest to a curry shop in the underground area of Otemachi Station, and because it was the kind of place that locals in Japan use on an everyday basis, it was received with even more delight. Since I had also heard in advance a request to visit a sukajan (souvenir jacket) shop, I searched for and took the guest to a shop in Harajuku, where they enthusiastically selected and purchased items. This was probably the highlight that pleased the guest the most. I was reminded once again how important it is to hear the guest's wishes in advance as much as possible and to accommodate them to the greatest extent possible.

What's a Private Tokyo Day Tour Like with Tsukiji, Asakusa, and teamLab? A Licensed Guide's Report I guided a group visiting from North America on a private day tour of Tokyo. Because they preferred comfortable travel even at a higher cost, we used taxis for the entire itinerary. At Tsukiji, the guests enjoyed tuna, steamed pork buns, and candied strawberries, and since they said they would like udon or ramen for lunch, I took them to an udon restaurant in Asakusa. They also purchased items such as omamori charms and daruma dolls, and they especially loved the melon bread filled with whipped cream. Since they had been awake since 3:00 in the morning, they began to look tired around Ueno, so we moved earlier than planned to Azabudai Hills, where a teamLab reservation had been made. After returning home, I received an email saying they had written a review, and I was delighted that they seemed satisfied.

Hello!! I’m Takako. Thank you for seeing my page. I’ve been showing guests around Tokyo, Yokohama and Kamakura for over six years. There are various things from historic sites, shrines and temples to cultural spots, good restaurants and anime shops in Japan.
I love watching sumo wrestling, Japanese traditional sport.
My favorite place is Tsukiji food market. It’s really exciting and you can enjoy a variety of delicious foods.
I also like visiting Japanese gardens such as Hama-rikyu Gardens and Rikugien Gardens.
Please let me know what interests you.

Title: What's a Private One-Day Kyoto Tour to Fushimi Inari and Kiyomizu-dera Like? A Licensed Guide's Report I met the guests, a group from Europe, on time at their hotel in Kyoto. They said they would leave the entire day's itinerary up to me as their guide, so we decided to visit Fushimi Inari Taisha and Kiyomizu-dera. We walked from the hotel to the nearest subway station (Nijojo-mae) and took the subway to Inari Station via JR Nijo Station. After getting off at Inari Station, I guided the group through Fushimi Inari Shrine, and they were delighted by the Senbon Torii, which they already knew from a guidebook about Japan. Along the way, they tried their luck at a power spot before heading back down. After the shrine, we took a train and a bus to Kiyomizu-dera. We stopped to take photos at the Yasaka Pagoda, then climbed the crowded Sannenzaka and the approach path to reach Kiyomizu-dera. There I explained the background of the temple, focusing on the Kiyomizu Stage and the Otowa Waterfall, where the guests drank the water. As the crowds were overwhelming, some of the guests began to feel tired and hungry, so we walked at a slightly quicker pace to Yasaka Shrine, then passed through Gion. I recommended the famous udon restaurant "Omen" near Shijo-ohashi Bridge, and we parted ways there. The guests were cheerful, and they followed along without a single complaint throughout the day.

After a rather long teaching experience at Japanese college, I converted my career about 6 years ago into working as a tour guide for the tourists visiting Japan.
As my career overseas, I’ve been in the UN and the Japanese Embassy, all in the USA, totaling more than 6 years.
And then I had made a big change in my career from a diplomat to an academic researcher. For that career to achieve, I studied abroad and won a doctorate degree in linguistics from Indiana University and landed a teaching position at college in Japan.
With all these interesting and exciting experiences I’ve made myself ready to enrich your tour and make it both enjoyable and worthwhile.

What Is a Private Osaka Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report on Sumiyoshi Taisha, Osaka Castle, and Dotonbori The guests were visiting from Oceania and were on their first trip to Japan, so they toured with great interest. At each spot, they listened attentively to the guide's explanations and asked many questions. At Sumiyoshi Taisha, they picked up the popular "Go-Dai-Riki" small stones and also purchased the small charm pouch. Before visiting Osaka Castle, they wanted to take a break, so at a bakery originating in Kobe located inside the nearest Morinomiya Station, they had some sweet pastries and drinks and were very satisfied. Because we spent a little too much time at two of the spots, it was somewhat unfortunate that at the final stop in Dotonbori we had to part ways immediately upon arrival. Since one of the guests really wanted to buy Japanese chocolate, I introduced them to the Daimaru department store in Shinsaibashi.

    Dear my guests,

This is (Mr.) Yama, greeting from Kobe, Japan.
I would like to warmly welcome you to Japan this time. I am from the city of Kobe, which is of course, well-known for very tasty Kobe Beef . You can taste
real genuine Kobe Beef here. Kobe is also called “Home of Japanese Sake” with lots of Sake breweries, and I recommend you would visit those breweries
if you have any interest in Japanese Sake as well as one aspect of Japanese cultures. Of course, you can have tastings of various kinds of Sake there.

Whenever during the tour, I always try to make it safe, pleasant and comfortable for all of the guests, which is my first priority. I am very much confident
that you can have a pleasant and unforgettable experience in Japan. Just tell me about your preference; what you would like to like to see, have, know
and eat and so on. Particularly, I hold the license for cooking qualified by the government here and maybe, I can reply you for questions related to the
foods here. In this respect, I strongly recommend you would try not only famous Japanese cuisine such as Sushi, Tempura or Suki-yaki but some
Japanese traditional local foods, like Tako-yaki, Okonomi-yaki and Kushkatsu. They are sometimes called the soul foods of Japan. Here is the brief
    explanation for these three foods.

    1) Tako-yaki
Tako-yaki is a snack filled with pieces of octopus in a batter of flour , egg and soup stock. You can call them octopus dumplings or balls. “Tako” means
octopus and “yaki” means grilled or broiled.
    2) Okonomi-yaki
This word Okonomi-yaki means “cook just as you like” and you can use whatever you like as toppings, such as beef, pork, shrimp, squid and octopus.
Okonomi-yaki is round shape and just like pancakes or pizza in shape mainly made from egg, flour and water.
    3) Kushi-katsu
Kushi-katsu is skewered cutlet or deep-fried foods on a stick. “Kushi” means skewer and “katsu” means cutlet. Various kinds of foods are used for
ingredients such as beef, pork, chicken, shrimp, squid, octopus and lots of kinds of vegetables.

Actually, the western Japan including Osaka, Kobe and Himeji is called as “Home of such local soul foods”. You should give it a try and I am sure
that you like them very much.

I sincerely hope that I can be your tour guide this time in Kobe, Osaka and Himeji. If my guests said to me after the tour, “I have had a very good
and pleasant time with you today. I hope I can come here again and name you as our guide”, which is my great pleasure. Moreover, I would be
great honored if they say “I like Japan now thanks to you”.

Looking forward to meeting you soon here.

What Is a Private Kyoto Day Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report on Fushimi Inari, Arashiyama, and Kinkaku-ji The guests were a group visiting from North America. I took them to Fushimi Inari, Arashiyama (the bamboo grove and the gardens of Tenryu-ji), and Kinkaku-ji. Although it was mid-February, the daytime sunshine was very warm and the sky was clear, making it ideal weather for the tour, and I believe the guests were able to enjoy it in good spirits. Among the places we visited, some of the guests said they liked the bamboo grove best, while another was most impressed by the torii gates at Fushimi Inari. All members of the group moved briskly, so the tour proceeded very smoothly, and with the time we had to spare they were able to enjoy some shopping as well. Since they would be staying in Kyoto for the following three days, I suggested several places to visit around the city. The weather was fine, and I believe they enjoyed the day.

What Is a Private Tokyo Tour Like for Cruise Ship Guests? A Licensed Guide's Report The guests were visitors traveling in Japan who had arrived by cruise ship. One of the guests was a big baseball fan and wished to purchase merchandise for teams such as Yakult and the Giants, so after consulting with the driver, we were able to stop by during the tour to make the purchases. The guest was very pleased. For lunch in Asakusa, the guests requested Kobe beef. Since it cost nearly 18,000 yen per person, I hesitated, but Asakusa was extremely crowded past noon on a Saturday, and the guests had mentioned they disliked crowded places, so we went to a Kobe beef teppanyaki restaurant. The beef was grilled right in front of us, and the meat was very tender and juicy. The guests were satisfied, saying the flavor of the meat itself was excellent. I felt that with guests seeking a high-end experience, taking them to somewhat upscale places leads to higher satisfaction. Finally, the guests said they wanted to buy stamps, so we went to the post office inside the KITTE building. A regular stamp for sending a postcard is 100 yen, but the 120-yen stamp had a design with a distinctly Japanese essence, so they purchased that one. Throughout the day, I believe I was able to respond flexibly to the guests' requests.
