    Tour Itinerary

    • 09:30 Meet up @ Nagoya Port Garden Pier
    • 10:15 Toyota Commemorative Museum of Industry and Technology
    • 11:45 Nagoya Castle
    • 13:00 Osu Shopping District
    • 13:30 Lunch @ Osu Shopping District
    • 15:00 Disband @ Osu Shopping District (taxi arranged)

What Is a Private Nagoya Osu Shopping Street Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report The guests were visitors from North America. They were both very interested in Japanese culture, and I received many questions about Japanese history. I answered each one carefully, and the guests said it was the first time anyone had answered so thoroughly, and they were very satisfied. For lunch, they enjoyed yakisoba from a food stall at Osu Shopping Street. They had been visiting various parts of Japan by cruise ship but had not had many chances to try local Japanese food, so they were pleased and said it was enjoyable. At the end, they took a taxi from Osu Shopping Street back to the cruise ship.

Hiroshima: Shukkeien Garden & Peace Memorial Museum

    Tour Itinerary

    • Since you wanted to visit Miyajima after the tour on a day trip, I changed the meeting time.
    • 9:10 Meet at the Shinkansen exit of Hiroshima Station
    • 9:30 Shukkeien Garden
    • 10:30 Hiroshima Castle
    • 11:00 Peace Memorial Park
    • 11:45 Lunch (Okonomiyaki)
    • 12:45 Peace Memorial Museum
    • 13:30 Tour ends at the Peace Park ferry terminal (bound for Miyajima)

What Is a Private One-Day Tour of Hiroshima and Miyajima Like? A Licensed Guide's Report The guests were a group of three visiting from North America. They had come to Hiroshima after visiting Tokyo, Kyoto, and Osaka, and they were very pleased to find that Hiroshima was relatively less crowded, as the previous destinations had been very busy with tourists. At Shukkeien Garden, there were few tourists, and the guests were able to relax and enjoy the quiet, calm atmosphere while taking many photos. They were also surprised when the carp gathered in large numbers to be fed and opened their mouths wide. At Hiroshima Castle, the group also visited Gokoku Shrine, and after paying their respects, they had a lively time drawing omikuji fortune slips. At the Peace Memorial Park, we folded paper cranes together and offered them at the Children's Peace Monument. The museum was becoming busier with school trip students, but fortunately there was no major congestion when we visited today, so we had plenty of time to catch the ferry. For lunch, I had reserved a private room at an okonomiyaki restaurant, which the guests very much enjoyed. When I helped arrange an advance ferry reservation to Miyajima, the guests were very grateful, and they told me that they had been able to relax and enjoy Hiroshima without the stress of crowds or long lines.

Osaka in Half a Day: Osaka Castle and stay there & Dotonbori

    Tour Itinerary

    • 11:50-12:30 Kuromon Market
    • 12:30-13:00 Dotonbori
    • Around 13:00 End of the tour

Title: What Is a Private Osaka Walking Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report on Osaka Castle and Kuromon Market At first, I had trouble getting in touch, but on the day itself we were able to meet smoothly. Since we arrived in the morning while it was still around 9 o'clock, Osaka Castle was relatively uncrowded. Even though the cherry blossoms were already over, the colorful azaleas and dogwoods were beautiful, and we enjoyed walking through the fresh greenery while visiting Osaka Castle. The travel time between stops was short, so we were able to go around efficiently. At Kuromon Market, the guests just had a kaiten-yaki, and since they planned to eat some recommended ramen, takoyaki, and gyoza in the Sennichimae area after the tour, we parted ways there. The guests told me that they had always wanted to come to Japan, and that they were finally able to make this trip.

Hi! I’m an official English guide in Wakayama prefecture. I’m also a national guide as well. I’d like to expand my guide area to help tourists.
The town of Osaka offers a different atmosphere than Tokyo. I like both exciting Osaka and nature-filled Wakayama Prefecture.
If you stay in Osaka for 3 days, you can go to Koyasan for one day, or even for a day trip, so I recommend sightseeing at Koyasan.
If you are tired of the hustle and bustle of the big city, the nature of Koyasan will relax you.
I will introduce you to the unique culture, history and must-see sights.

    • 12:45 Kanemori Red Brick Warehouse
    • 13:40 Hakodate Morning Market
    • 14:00 Return to cruise and end of tour

What Is a Private Cruise-Day Tour of Hakodate Like? A Licensed Guide's Report The guests visited Japan from Europe by cruise ship, and it was their first time in Hokkaido. In Hakodate, the cherry blossoms had just begun to bloom after the flowering declaration was issued the previous day. The number of tourists suddenly increased, and there was a very long line to go up Goryokaku Tower. For lunch, after discussing with the guests, we went into a stylish bakery cafe called Green Gables, which is themed around "Anne of Green Gables." They eagerly took photos of the very lovely interior. Although I had been a little worried because it was not a Japanese-style place, everyone enjoyed it more than expected. Also, when we visited the morning market at the end, they looked at the crab and octopus with great interest. Since English is a foreign language for both of us, communication took a little time, but they enjoyed themselves everywhere we went. The photo was taken at Goryokaku Park.

I was born and grew up in Kyoto and now live near Fushimi Inari Shrine in Kyoto. I used to be a schoolteacher of English and welcome a lot of students from foreign countries. I really enjoyed showing them around Kyoto, Nara, Osaka, Himeji, and Hiroshima. I have been a professional tour guide for about 8 years. I always try to let my guests learn Japanese traditional and modern culture. Since I was born in Kyoto, I know a lot about its culture and people. I myself enjoyed several sports, such as soccer, judo, and marathon when I was young. I’m much interested in baseball and sumo. My motto as a tour guide is to let my guests learn about our tradition and culture precisely and really enjoy themselves. I strongly hope you will enjoy the tour in Japan with me.

    • 11:20 Myoshinji Taizo-in

    • 13:15 Take you to Nishio Yatsuhashi no Sato and disband

What Is a Private Kyoto Day Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report The guests were visiting from Europe. They toured Tokyo and Hakone, and were also planning to extend their trip to Naoshima afterward. Kinkaku-ji Temple was quite crowded, but the other spots were not so busy, which was very pleasant. In particular, Taizo-in had hardly anyone else around, so they were able to relax and fully enjoy the beautiful Japanese garden. Although it was not part of the original plan, since we had come as far as Arashiyama, they also enjoyed a stroll from the bamboo grove to the Tenryu-ji garden. Finally, I took them to a lunch spot, and the tour concluded. I believe they enjoyed themselves.

Thank you very much for choosing JGA experience, and please allow me to briefly introduce myself. I’m Kaeko Tanigawa, your tour guide, and I have been showing tourists from abroad around mainly in Kyoto, Nara and Osaka areas. Every year I’ve guided my guests through those areas for over 80 times. I always try to do my best to help my guests explore and enjoy our unique and attractive locations, and I’ve been lucky enough to receive so many 5-star reviews from the guests I hosted. I’d like to help make your visit to Japan one of the most wonderful memories in your life. I’m really looking forward to seeing you soon. Thank you very much.

  • Kobe Customized Half-Day Tour

    Kobe Customized Half-Day Tour

    Tour Itinerary

    • 9:30 Meet I had sent photos the day before and specified the meeting place in detail, but the customer was on the 1st floor of the Port Terminal while I was on the 2nd floor, so there was a bit of confusion, but we managed to meet up successfully. After that, we decided to go to Kobe Herb Garden and traveled by taxi.
    • 10:00 Arrived at the Herb Garden. The weather was cloudy and the scenery was foggy, so it wasn't very good, but the customer loved flowers and asked about the names of various flowers, smelled the perfumes, and seemed to be having a great time. They took lots of photos of the planted grasses and trees. I also took photos of the customer. They had apparently had surgery on their leg, so walking seemed difficult, and we went down the slope taking breaks. They had no appetite due to food poisoning, said the foreigner's district was bad for their legs because of the slopes, weren't interested in souvenirs, and didn't want to see shrines, so it was hard to decide on the next destination, but in the end we decided to go to the Hakutsuru Sake Brewery Museum.
    • 11:20 Traveled by subway from Shin-Kobe Station to Sannomiya.
    • 11:30 Traveled by train from Hanshin Sannomiya Station to Hanshin Sumiyoshi Station.
    • 12:00 Arrived at the Hakutsuru Sake Brewery Museum. They said they wouldn't drink sake because they weren't feeling well, but they eagerly watched the videos and looked at the tools of sake brewing.
    • I was glad they said, "It was interesting, I'm glad I came."
    • 12:50 Arrived at Hanshin Sumiyoshi Station, traveled to Sannomiya Station.
    • 13:10 Arrived at Hanshin Sannomiya Station. Traveled by taxi to the Port Terminal.
    • 13:30 Arrived at the Port Terminal. Tour ended.

What Is a Private Kobe Cruise Port Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report Shortly after meeting, one of the party was not feeling well, so only one of the guests joined the tour. The meeting point had not been communicated clearly, which caused some confusion, but the guest called me early (through the staff) and we were able to meet right away. The weather forecast had predicted occasional rain, but fortunately we were not caught in any rain. At the herb garden, the guest saw many kinds of flowers in bloom and delighted in them, saying "beautiful," though walking up the slopes seemed difficult. Many cruise passengers are older, and through this tour I truly realized that moving around within stations and using public transportation can be hard for guests who normally rely on cars and rarely walk. Since walking around town can be tough for cruise passengers, I felt it might have been good to propose from the outset a plan (and budget) of using taxis as needed. In that case, however, the key point seems to be whether the fare can be paid by card. When I took a taxi from Sannomiya, I spoke with the taxi driver, who told me that in Kobe there are two cruise ship ports, plus a separate pier for sightseeing boats, so the passengers themselves often are not sure which one they need, leading to frequent trouble. Since the instructions from the company only say "port terminal," it would be helpful if, even provisionally, you could specify whether it is <Naka Pier or Meriken Park> or <Shinko Pier No. 4 or Port Island>. As for the guest's impressions, they said it was a wonderful day, and I received kind words of praise by email and messaging app, such as "Thank you for the Great Day, You gave me a lovely day." I was glad to complete the work safely and without any incidents.

Title: What Is a Private Nara Day Tour Like at a Slow Pace? A Licensed Guide's Report The guests were a group visiting Japan from Europe. When I picked them up at the Hotel, some of the guests were still having breakfast and one was resting in the room, so our departure from the Hotel was delayed. The tour proceeded at a slow pace throughout the day. The guests walked slowly, partly due to fatigue from the previous days. When returning from Kasuga Taisha to Kintetsu Nara Station or JR Nara Station, we used a taxi. Like the guests earlier in the month, they thoroughly enjoyed the deer of Nara at a relaxed pace. Before visiting Todaiji, and also along the approach to Kasuga Taisha, they fed the deer shika-senbei crackers. In the end, the guests said they did not need to be taken all the way to Kyoto, so we stayed on site for an extra hour, and I saw them off at JR Nara Station before we parted ways.

What's a Private Hakone Tour Like on a Rainy Day? A Licensed Guide's Report The tour was originally scheduled to start at 11:00, but it was changed to 12:00 the day before. When I arrived at Gora Station, where the guests' accommodation was located, I received word that they had missed the bullet train and would now arrive at 13:00. Since I had time to spare, I did some research around the station. At 12:30, I took the hotel's car from Gora Station to the hotel (when I asked, the hotel said they would come to pick me up if I gave the name of the guest staying there, which was a great help since it was raining heavily). After that, I waited further in the hotel lobby, and I was finally able to meet the guests at 14:00. Since check-in looked like it would take some time, we postponed it and hurried to Sounzan Station in the hotel's car. Unfortunately it was raining, but we could see the volcanic steam and mountain surface of Owakudani, which was a relief. The guests were impressed and found it very unique. The group happily shared and enjoyed the black eggs together. Owakudani Station on the ropeway was very quiet, so we were able to descend smoothly to Togendai. The guests had been looking forward to riding the pirate ship, and they were very delighted. The lake was covered in mist, but the cherry blossoms along the shore were very beautiful. We got off at Motohakone Port. Since the guests had reservations for dinner and the spa at the hotel, I checked the time for the return bus and then hurried to Hakone Shrine. The guests told me the misty shrine was very mystical and impressive, so I was glad we visited even though we had to move quickly. We were able to return to the bus stop a few minutes before departure and see them off. It was a hectic tour from the very beginning, but I was relieved that we were able to visit the main sightseeing spots.
