Hello! I’m Taka, a licensed interpreter-guide based in the Hokuriku region of Japan, including Kanazawa, Toyama, and Fukui.
My specialty is food and local culture, especially Japanese cuisine. I hold a diploma in Edomae sushi (hand-pressed sushi) and enjoy sharing not only the taste but also the craftsmanship, history and stories behind it. I believe that food is one of the best ways to understand Japanese culture and the lifestyle of local people.
I have also lived and worked overseas for 20 years, which helps me understand the interests and expectations of international travelers. I enjoy introducing guests to both famous attractions and lesser-known local experiences that make a trip more memorable.
