Tour Itinerary
- ①10:00 Meet at Hotel, travel to Kita-Kamakura by train.
- ②11:00〜12:00 Engakuji Temple
- ③12:00〜13:00 Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine
- ④13:00〜14:00 Lunch at Koinosuke in front of Kamakura Station
- ⑤14:00〜15:00 Hasedera Temple
- ⑥15:00〜16:00 From Kamakura to Yokohama Station, disband
What Is a Private Kamakura Day Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report
The guests were visitors from North America who arrived in Japan by cruise ship, on their second visit to Japan. This time they requested a first-time sightseeing tour of Kamakura. We started from Kita-Kamakura Station and headed to Engaku-ji Temple, where they were very satisfied with the quiet atmosphere surrounded by fresh greenery. To keep the walking distance as short as possible, we took a bus to Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine. After paying our respects, we strolled along Dankazura and Komachi-dori Street on the way to the lunch spot. In the afternoon, we visited Hase-dera Temple by the Enoden train, and they were delighted by the beautiful flowers. As they wished to return together to Yokohama Station, we set off on the way back together. Blessed with fine weather, they thoroughly enjoyed the day.

Our guide, Sam, was very knowledgeable about the are and guided us to several temples using public transportation. We stopped for a traditional Japanese lunch and saw some of the specialty wood carvings from the area. Our guide enjoyed the beauty of nature and his enthusiasm helped us to pay attention to the natural beauty as well.
