What Is a Private Tsukiji Outer Market Tour in Tokyo Like? A Licensed Guide's Report
The guests were a group visiting from Europe. First, I guided them to the Tsukiji Outer Market. At the outer market, we walked around and visited various shops, and at the Tsukiji Uogashi food court we sat down to enjoy cola and beer, while one of the guests who was hungry enjoyed a tendon rice bowl. They seemed to have already had breakfast, and mentioned they would like to come back again on another day. After that, we toured the intermediate wholesale market at Tsukiji Uogashi, and since they wanted to walk around the outer market once more, they enjoyed Yubari melon, strawberry candy, and strawberry daifuku at a shop. As one of the guests was interested in kitchen knives, we looked at knives at shops such as a specialty knife store. Some of the guests also purchased Japanese plates and other items. Regarding the tuna auction at Toyosu Market, I explained that you need to go around 5:30 in the morning to see it, but that the viewing area itself could be seen. They then said they wanted to purchase Shinkansen tickets at the Marunouchi North Exit of Tokyo Station, so I took them to the JR East Ticket Center at the Marunouchi North Exit. It was around 10:40, and since they said they would enjoy the rest of the day on their own, I ended the tour.

Mrs. fumiko was very kind, calm and lovely person. She give us a introduction before entering to the different places. She also help us to get the suica card and translate at specifics times around the city. We really enjoy the peaceful energy of mrs. fumiko. Fumiko is a great tour guide – informative, friendly and very well prepared.
Fumiko was a great tour guide given she was very knowledgeable about the key tourist sites that we visited and history of Japan. Fumiko was a great communicator who reached out very early to design our six-hour tour of Tokyo. Unfortunately we spent a lot of time on the underground to get to the sites that we wanted to visit. My advice is to test with Fumiko early the likely time that you will spend on transport over the course of the day so you do not spend unnecessary time on public transport. Probably do ot need a tour guide to go to the markets. Highly recommend Fumiko.
