What Is a Private Walking Tour of Yanaka and Asakusa Like in Tokyo? A Licensed Guide's Report

The tour was originally planned as a Tsukiji food and culture course, but since the guests preferred to avoid crowds and waiting in lines, and were interested in nature, crafts, and local food, we decided to skip Tsukiji and instead visit Nezu Shrine, Yanaka Ginza, and West Asakusa. At Nezu Shrine, the guests enjoyed watching the carp and turtles in the pond and remarked on the beauty of the shrine's carvings. They bought some candy at a Kintaro-ame candy shop and ate taiyaki in Nezu, saying it was very sweet and delicious. On Snake Road (Hebi-michi), some shops were not yet open, but the guests seemed to love the atmosphere. At Yanaka Ginza, they tried Genki menchi-katsu and said it was delicious. Afterward, we went to West Asakusa, where we viewed traditional crafts at the Edo Taito Traditional Crafts Museum before enjoying okonomiyaki and fried rice. Then, at Kappabashi, one of the guests found a shop they liked and purchased Japanese-patterned pants. They seemed to like all of the shop's items, including the bags and jeans. At Kappabashi, we also enjoyed visiting specialty shops for knives, food samples, Edo Kiriko cut glass, and confectionery molds before heading back. We parted ways at Nishi-Shinjuku Station. The weather was very nice, and I believe the guests had a wonderful time.
