Title: What Is an Early-Morning Private Tour of Tokyo's Tsukiji and Toyosu Fish Market Like? A Licensed Guide's Report
The guests were visiting Japan from North America. At their prior request, I met them at their Hotel. I waited in the upper-floor lobby of the Hotel, but they did not appear at the appointed time, so I headed down to the lower-floor lobby. It seems we had passed each other in the elevator. I learned that at this Hotel, a taxi queue typically forms from around 5:00, and that many taxis are also circulating in Ginza.
We visited Toyosu to observe the tuna auction. I explained the system, the differences among the fish on display, and how the auction works.
For breakfast, the guests wished to try street-food sampling, so we took a taxi to Tsukiji. First, we paid a visit to Namiyoke Shrine. As it happened, the Namiyoke Shrine grand festival was scheduled for June 13–15 a few days later, during which two lion heads and a portable shrine would parade through the neighborhood. For the street-food sampling, we enjoyed treats such as a sweet matcha crepe.

What a lovely experience. I had a great time. Special thanks to my guide Kei for all the
informations. He is so knowledgable. The only negative is the cost of this trip. For this price it
should includes at least transportation and Tuna tasting. It was an experience anyways.
