Tour Itinerary in Detail
The tour started at 5:00 at @ Grand Hyatt Tokyo and ended at 8:00. The day ran to 3 hours from start to finish.
Over the course of the day the route took in Toyosu Market (Tuna Auction) at 5:20, Intermediate Wholesale Market at 6:45 and Tsukiji Outer Market at 7:15.
What Is an Early Morning Toyosu Tuna Auction and Tsukiji Private Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report
The guests were visitors from North America, and as this was their third day in Tokyo, they wished to see the early morning tuna auction at Toyosu Market. Since one of the guests had an interest in sushi, they asked me to recommend a place for dinner tonight (a sushi restaurant), so I introduced several restaurants in Tsukiji.
The guests found the tuna auction extremely fascinating. At the intermediate wholesale market and the Tsukiji Outer Market, they took many photos of the products displayed at the storefronts. As it was still too early for breakfast, they wished only to have some tamagoyaki (rolled omelet) and then rest at a coffee shop, so I introduced a café within the Outer Market and the tour came to an end.

Excellent tour with a friendly and knowledgeable guide who customized the tour to my interests. As a seasoned solo traveler, my interests are specific and focused, my guide Seky san was a great match and provided a great itinerary that was realistic and varied with our time allotment.
