- 10:30 Meet at Hyatt Regency Yokohama
- 11:40 Shinjuku Gyoen
- 13:15 Imperial Palace East Gardens
- 14:10 Buy snacks @Seven Palace Building Store
- 14:55 Asakusa (Couldn't take Skytree photos due to strong wind)
- 16:10 Ueno Park, Ueno Toshogu Shrine
- 18:10 Disband at Hyatt Regency Yokohama
It was a rather challenging day with rain for almost the entire day. After meeting at the Hotel, we headed to Shinjuku Gyoen. It was good that the rain kept the number of visitors low, but the guests were unable to take as many photos of their hobby as they had hoped. They took photos of the Japanese garden, cherry blossoms, and camellias. At the East Gardens of the Imperial Palace it began raining heavily, but I managed to guide them through. I had planned to arrange a soba lunch, but the guests said a convenience store would be fine, so they had sandwiches on a bench at the station. It was very windy in Asakusa, but I managed to guide them, and then we visited the cherry blossoms in Ueno Park and Ueno Toshogu Shrine before parting ways at the Hotel. I received a tip.

Allow me to introduce myself. I am a National Government Licensed Guide Interpreter of Japan and an expert in Japanese history and culture, and also in nursing and health. I usually work as a Public Health Nurse (PHN) at a Public Health Center in Tokyo, and I hold a Registered Nurse (RN) license. Additionally, I have a Ph.D. in medical science.
Born in 1957 and raised in Tokyo, I have worked for 33 years mainly in the research and development area for some pharmaceutical companies. Then, I changed my career to nursing and entered a university to obtain a PHN and RN license. I took the Licensed Guide for preparation for the Tokyo 2020 Olympics and volunteered in the Olympic and Paralympic Games in 2021.

This was our first visit to Tokyo, and our tour with Koba made the experience truly exceptional. We’re a family of four with two teenage boys (14 and 16), and Koba was wonderfully kind, patient, and engaging with each of us. Koba was so nice to my family and I. He was patient and helped carry a large toy my daughter won. I wished we had another day. Having a guide saved us hours of navigating the subway and metro.
