Title: What Can You See on a Private One-Day Tour of Tokyo Before a Cruise? A Licensed Guide's Report
The guests were a group of friends from North America. They were spending a day sightseeing in Tokyo just before departing on a 10-day cruise from Yokohama Port two days later. In line with their prior requests, the tour began at the Shibuya Scramble Crossing. Although it was a weekday morning and the crowds were relatively light, they had been looking forward to visiting this spot and took many photographs.
Next, wishing to see traditional Japanese life, they went to Nezu. At Nezu Shrine, I explained the differences between temples and shrines, the origins of Shinto, and its influence on Japanese culture. Since they planned to visit various temples and shrines during their cruise, they said this background knowledge was very helpful.
Afterward, at Sensoji Temple in Asakusa, they seemed surprised by the large crowds and the many people dressed in kimono, and they appeared to enjoy the unique atmosphere of the area. For lunch, they enjoyed okonomiyaki, and although they had tried many Japanese dishes before, they said this was a flavor they were experiencing for the first time.
Since they would also be visiting Hiroshima later, I recommended they try it again there.
Finally, they enjoyed shopping at UNIQLO in Ginza before returning to Yokohama, where their hotel was located.

Highly recommend this tour for first time visit to Tokyo. Our guide Atsushi took great care to acclimate us with navigating through busy train stations efficiently with a group of eight family members. Along the way and at each site he explained various cultural practices and associated histories that made the tour very immersive and enjoyable. Best Tour for a Short Visit
Atsushi-san was an incredibly well-researched and friendly tour guide. His knowledge allowed us to explore and get to the historical significance of the various locations we visited. His explanations were simple but comprehensive. The six hours flew by and included some off-the-beaten opportunities including coffee at a very austere but memorable location near the fish market. I would highly recommend him as well as this tour for anyone with limited time in Tokyo wanting see as much as possible

Our guide, Atsushi, was great! He met us at our hotel in Hakone and took us clockwise to tour all the sites. He was informative and taught us a lot. Our group was two adults and a 14 year old. We saw Mt Fuji from the rope way, but unfortunately the pirate ship was canceled because of high wind. We would absolutely use Atsushi again for this tour, or any other tour he provides.
