Tour Itinerary
- 10am Aloft Tokyo Ginza→(on foot)→Tsukiji Market→(Tokyo Metro)→11am Asakusa Sensoji Temple, West Approach, Lunch (Asakusa Juraku)→(Tokyo Metro)→2pm Meiji Shrine, Yoyogi Park→(Tokyo Metro)→4pm Disband in front of the Tokyo Tower 1F reception
Title: What's a Private Full-Day Tokyo Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report on Asakusa, Meiji Shrine, and Tokyo Tower
The guests were visiting Tokyo for the first time, but having already finished a trip in the Kansai region and being scheduled to return home two days later, they were already familiar with getting around in Japan. Blessed with clear skies after a long spell of poor weather, they enjoyed strolling around Asakusa and Meiji Shrine, and were especially delighted by Yoyogi Park, where two early-blooming cherry trees, though just past their peak, were still flowering beautifully. Since preferences varied within the group and no consensus had been reached on what to eat, I took them to a restaurant in Asakusa with a wide-ranging menu. They also enjoyed grilled beef skewers from a street stall along the way, and everyone had a good time with the food. Finally, we walked from Kamiyacho Station on the Hibiya Line to Tokyo Tower and parted ways in front of the reception. As they planned to return to their hotel after Tokyo Tower, I explained that they could take the Hibiya Line again to get back to the nearest station at Higashi-Ginza.

In our walking tour, we visit historic sites such as temples and beautiful Japanese gardens as well as popular shopping streets and food markets. We also explore the narrow backstreets to find little galleries, quiet cafes and cozy food stands.

We had the pleasure of having Teizo guide us on the Off The Beaten Path tour of Tokyo. First off, Teizo was very responsive in communicating with us prior to our tour and rearranged the sites so we could visit Asakusa Temple before it closed. Teizo has a wealth of information and happily answered all our questions. He made sure we were comfortable during our six hour tour. Teizo is a wonderful representative of Japan and its culture.
