What Is a Private Tokyo Walking Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report

The guests visited Japan from North America and were staying in Tokyo before returning home. They were very interested in Japan and asked a wide range of questions, from politics (the differences between the U.S. president and the Japanese prime minister, the number of political parties, the electoral system, and alternative energy policy) to TKG (whether the raw egg used in "tamago kake gohan" is safe to eat, and whether there is any concern about salmonella). During our conversation, I learned that the guests love cats, so we made a small detour to show them the "Shinjuku East Exit Cat" (commonly known as the 3D cat). Unfortunately, due to what seemed to be a monitor malfunction, the screen was completely dark, but despite this hiccup we were able to complete the tour along the planned route.
