The itinerary covered Tsukiji Outer Market at 10:40, Akihabara sightseeing at 11:30, Senso-ji Temple, lunch at 12:30, Meiji Shrine, at 14:00 and Suidobashi, disband at 15:45.
Travel between the sites was by public transport: Shinagawa to Higashi-ginza by train (370JPY); Tsukiji to Akihabara by train (178JPY); Suehirocho to Asakusa by train (178JPY); Asakusa to Kanda by train (178JPY); Kanda to Harajuku by train (178JPY); Harajuku to Suidobashi by train (178JPY). Across 6 sections the fare came to 1,260JPY per person.
What Can You See on a Private One-Day Tokyo Tour? A Licensed Guide's Report
The guests were visitors from North America. The group made requests, and I guided them to Tsukiji, Sensoji Temple, Akihabara, and Meiji Shrine in response. Akihabara seemed to be the most enjoyable spot for one of the guests. One of the guests was especially enthusiastic, taking photos in many places and listening attentively to the explanations. I also received questions from another of the guests. Although it was near the end of the year, the Pacific side of Japan is usually blessed with good weather, so I felt it was easy to help them appreciate the fun and beauty of Tokyo.

Our guide, Kappa-san, modified the typical Hakone tour to accommodate our interests, and is very helpful and knowledgeable. Since the day was very hot (95°F / 35°C) we favored activities that were more shaded or cool, including a walk on a cedar-lined section of the old Tokaido path.

Kappa, our guide met us at the train station and took us all over Kamakura. We saw shrines, the big Buddha, gardens, and the Oceanside! Kappa shared a lot of history about Kamakura, and it was nice to have this background when we were exploring these incredible sites! Highly recommend!
