What Is a Private Tokyo Tour of Meiji Shrine, Asakusa, and Shibuya Like? A Licensed Guide's Report

The guests came from North America and had just completed a 27-day cruise tour, with the day of the guided tour being their final day of sightseeing in Tokyo. At the guests' request, [Japan Guide Agency (JGA Inc.)](https://www.j-g-a.org/) guided them to Meiji Shrine, Asakusa, and Shibuya.

One of the guests could walk slowly but could not manage going up and down stairs. We used escalators and elevators, taking breaks along the way and going at a relaxed pace. Since there was construction in various places in Shinjuku and Shibuya, I checked the locations of the elevators in advance.

The guests said lunch was delicious and finished everything. In the past, one of the guests had trouble getting up from a low sunken kotatsu seat, so choosing a table seat this time turned out to be the right decision. I was glad we made it back to the Hotel before the rain started coming down heavily.

I hope the guests return home safely with many wonderful memories.

I’m Yoko Kusumoto, a government lisenced English-speaking guide.
I have been living in Tokyo for more than 20 years, and it’s my pleasure to show you around Tokyo. I recommend Meiji Shrine and Asakusa if you are first time in Japan. I also recommend off-the-beaton path spots like Fukagawa Fudodo and Gotokuji Temple(lucky cat temple).
I was born and brought up in Kamakura, where the first shogun’s government was established. It will be my pleasure to introduce you my hometown as well.

I live with my husband and one teenage son.
I like traveling, flowers, sewing, quilting, scrapbooking, and exploring Tokyo.

I’m looking forward to hearing from you soon.
