Title: What's a Rainy-Day Private Tokyo Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report on Tsukiji, Asakusa, and Hamarikyu
The guests were a group visiting from Europe. Since it was raining heavily from the morning, I decided to skip Hamarikyu Gardens at first and started from Tsukiji instead. We also decided not to visit the Imperial Palace up close, viewing it instead from Midtown Hibiya. As the guests said they wanted a coffee break, we relaxed and chatted at a bakery. One of the guests was collecting goshuin (temple and shrine seals), and received them at Namiyoke Shrine and Sensoji Temple. They also stamped the Hamarikyu stamp into their goshuin book, saying "It's a stamp!", but since they seemed so happy, I chose not to point anything out. For lunch, the guests requested ramen, so I took them to a ramen shop in Asakusa, which they loved very much. As the rain grew lighter in the afternoon, after Asakusa we returned toward the Hotel area in Shiodome and went to Hamarikyu Gardens. One of the guests chose not to visit Hamarikyu and returned to the Hotel. The rest were delighted with the garden and thoroughly enjoyed matcha and sweets. They were all very kind, and although I had been worried about the weather, I was relieved that we were able to finish the tour without any trouble.

Our wonderful guide, Takako, took us on a tour of Tokyo. She helped us create a plan based on our interests and was flexible when we needed to change the itinerary a bit due to extreme heat. She was friendly, informative, and helpful. We enjoyed learning about Japanese culture and history from Takako, and we saw amazing temples and ate delicious sushi. I highly recommend this tour and Takako as a guide!

We had an amazing day with Takako. Takako got in contact prior to our tour to create the perfect itinerary. She collected us from our hotel and helped us get our travel cards and showed us how to use the public transport. Takako altered our tour and took us to Harajuku Takeshite street, which our teenagers really enjoyed. Takako was really informative and friendly and made the day really enjoyable. We would have no hesitation in booking her again. Takako showed us more in 6 hours than we would have seen in a week if left to our own devices. Thanks Takako and we will watch The Transporter!
