What Is a Private Full-Day Tokyo Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report on Roppongi and Shibuya
The guests were visitors from North America, exploring Japan for the first time. They shared that they were soon approaching a special milestone, and mentioned they had traveled to many countries, including places in Asia. They joked that "you shouldn't visit the best place (Japan) last, or all the other countries will pale in comparison." They also noted that Japan is the home country of the celebrated baseball player Shohei Ohtani, as well as the setting of the Emmy Award-winning television series "Shogun." No specific requests for destinations had been communicated during our prior correspondence, and only when we met on the morning of the tour did I learn that they had already visited most of Tokyo's major sights over the previous two days using a sightseeing taxi. So I guided them around the area centered on Roppongi. I explained the story of General Nogi at Nogi Shrine in relation to Meiji Shrine, which they had visited the day before, and described the design of Tokyo Midtown Roppongi in connection with shrine architecture. By offering these deeper perspectives beyond their previous Tokyo experiences, I was able to delight the guests greatly. In Shibuya, we happened to meet up with friends of theirs who were traveling in Japan at the same time, and everyone had a wonderful time experiencing the walk across the Scramble Crossing. Furthermore, when we passed by a café inside Shibuya FUKURAS where visitors can interact with a robot, one of the guests became very excited and took photos.

It was a GREAT TOUR with Noripy! With a family of many different ages and walking levels this was fantastic. We were picked up from our cruise in Yokohama and dropped off at Haneda airport. We had about 10 hours before our flight and it went flawlessly.

Tokyo in 4 hours
Noripy was excellent! She guided us through several parts of the city: Imperial Palace, Tokyo Station, Tokyo Tower, Sangedatsumon, Zojo-ji, Meiji Jingu, and Golden Gai. A great way to see many Tokyo sites and get acquainted with the city on your first day!

Lovely experience. My guide was an absolutely adorable lady who managed to fit all the iconic Tokyo spots into my 6-hour tour without anything feeling rushed. She was knowledgeable, organised, and genuinely kind. Toward the end she even helped me with some shopping, which I really appreciated. Noripy gave a 5/5 tour! She provided useful instruction for public transport use, fascinating historical information, spiritual customs and current cultural practices- All with an infectious smile and never ending positive energy. Noripy’s tour allowed us to made the most of the rest of our time in Tokyo. I feel like we did 5 days of sightseeing in 6 hrs! But Noripy made sure to always check if we wanted a break. Our tour was customized for my 2 teenage kids and I, and if we saw or thought of something along the way that interested us, Noripy accommodated!
