Tour Itinerary in Detail
Meeting at Prince Sakura Tower Tokyo at 9:00, the group explored Tokyo until the tour ended at 15:10. The day ran to 6 hours and 10 minutes from start to finish. It included lunch @ Yakitori Izakaya Torishishi at 11:40.
The itinerary covered Shibuya – Hachiko photos, etc. at 9:25, Asakusa (Skytree photos) at 9:10, Cat Street at 9:40, Takeshita Street at 10:00, Meiji Shrine at 10:30, Shinjuku – Godzilla Head, souvenirs, etc. at 11:25 and Asakusa at 13:20.
Travel between the sites was by public transport: Shinagawa to Shibuya by train (178JPY); Harajuku to Shinjuku by train (146JPY); Shinjuku to Kanda by train (178JPY); Kanda to Asakusa by train (178JPY); Asakusa to Shinagawa by train (422JPY). Across 5 sections the fare came to 1,102JPY per person.

At Shibuya, the guests were pleased to finally photograph the long-awaited Hachiko statue. Next, we headed to Cat Street, which they had requested. As I had explained in advance, most of the shops were not yet open. However, they walked all the way to Harajuku and enjoyed the atmosphere of the street. We entered Takeshita Street at 10:00, and since there were not yet many people or lines, the guests were able to leisurely enjoy the atmosphere. They were very interested in a mini pig café. At Meiji Shrine, they delighted in the beauty of the trees. In Shinjuku, they came face to face with the long-awaited Godzilla (they seem to love the old Godzilla special-effects films). They were so delighted that I guided them all the way to the hotel lobby. They enjoyed a yakitori lunch and had some beer, remarking that Japanese beer is delicious. In Asakusa, they bought souvenirs such as beckoning cat figures and were very satisfied. The tour ended at Shinagawa Station after I showed them the direction toward their hotel.

Tripadvisor review: Tokyo Customized Private Tour in 1 Day with Licensed Guide
This was our first visit to Tokyo, and our tour with Koba made the experience truly exceptional. We’re a family of four with two teenage boys (14 and 16), and Koba was wonderfully kind, patient, and engaging with each of us. The experience started even before we arrived—his first communications laid out a thoughtful, customized itinerary that perfectly matched our interests as first-time visitors. Our six hours together were full, seamless, and incredibly rewarding. Koba’s deep knowledge of the city, his attention to detail, and his warm, easygoing approach made the tour an ideal fit for our family. It was the perfect way to get a broad yet meaningful introduction to Tokyo in a short time. We’re so grateful he was our guide and highly recommend him to anyone visiting the city.

6hr Tokyo guide great experience
Koba was so nice to my family and I. He was patient and helped carry a large toy my daughter won. I wished we had another day. Having a guide saved us hours of navigating the subway and metro.
