What's a Private Tokyo Day Tour with a Licensed Guide Like? A Guide's Report

The guests were a group visiting Japan for the first time from North America. They had been planning a trip to Japan for several years, but it had been postponed due to the pandemic; this trip was to celebrate the completion of their studies. This was their second country to visit in Asia, following Thailand. After Tokyo, they planned to visit Hakone, Kyoto and Nara, and Osaka, before returning directly to North America. Delicious Japanese food was a strong motivation for their trip to Japan. With that in mind, we decided to have sushi at Tsukiji Market for lunch. They were very pleased. They mentioned that they plan to join a gourmet tour in Koenji the next day. Since they had arrived the previous evening, jet lag caught up with them in the latter half of the afternoon, so I saw them off at Shimokitazawa Station near their accommodation and we parted ways.
