What Is a Private Summer Walking Tour of Tokyo Like? A Licensed Guide's Report on Shinjuku Gyoen and Shibuya

The guests were from Europe and had arrived in Japan the day before. As on the previous day, the sun was strong from the morning, making it an intensely hot day. We began at the first destination, Shinjuku Gyoen, entering through the Okido Gate. All three of us, myself included, strolled through the Japanese garden while repeatedly wiping the sweat from our brows. It was a great help that Shinjuku Gyoen has several free rest areas. Taking several breaks along the way, we reached the Shinjuku Gate in about 50 minutes. The guests seemed to really enjoy the Shibuya Scramble Crossing, taking commemorative photos from various angles, such as the second floor of a Starbucks and the second-floor walkway connecting the JR and Inokashira lines. They mentioned that Godiva, a purveyor to the Belgian Royal Court, is expensive even in its home country.
