Title: What's a Private Day Tour of Tokyo Like for First-Time Visitors? A Licensed Guide's Report

I attended to a group of inbound visitors from Oceania. Since there had been prior email exchanges with the agent beforehand and a draft itinerary had been prepared, I presented the itinerary at the Hotel where I met them. As they had arrived in Japan the previous night and did not yet have transportation passes, I arranged these at Toei Tochomae Station. Because there was a request to end the tour near the Hotel, I adjusted the itinerary accordingly. Also, taking their shopping wishes into account, I guided them to Keio Department Store.

A notable stop on the tour was Keio Department Store in Shinjuku. Located directly connected to Shinjuku Station, one of the busiest transport hubs in the world, Keio Department Store is a well-established Japanese department store offering a wide range of goods, from fashion and cosmetics to local food products and souvenirs. Japanese department stores, known as "depato," are famous for their basement food halls called "depachika," where visitors can find beautifully presented sweets, prepared foods, and regional specialties. These stores also offer attentive customer service, making them a convenient and comfortable place for international visitors to shop in central Tokyo.

I got an early retirement from 36 yrs of the employment in a Japanese financial sector.
I hope I can attend to you with the Japanese politeness, hospitality and smile.

What can I be expected?
I would like to introduce the photogenic sites, the indigenous experiences
and good Japanese local food around Tokyo, Hakone/Mt Fuji.
I might be able to show you the features of shrine and temple with a religious manner if you’d like.
As a matter of fact, I don’t have a specific religion to believe, though.
I love Japan and that’s why I started a new career as a guide.
