What Does a Full-Day Private Tokyo Walking Tour Cover? A Licensed Guide's Report
I guided a group visiting from Europe. Based on a request received in advance, I confirmed the itinerary again at our meeting point. Today was their second day in Tokyo, and they mentioned they had visited Akihabara the day before. First, near their accommodation at Kappabashi Kitchen Town, at a chopstick shop, we unexpectedly ended up having a lesson on how to hold chopsticks. The whole group studied it so enthusiastically that they even filmed a video. At Asakusa, one of the guests drew an omikuji fortune and hit a great "Daikichi" (excellent luck)! After showing them only the area in front of the main gate of the Imperial Palace, we headed to Shibuya Crossing. Along the way, some of the guests enjoyed convenience store sweets and stayed hydrated with drinks several times. Even while riding the subway, we exchanged many questions and opinions. In particular, one of the guests was very knowledgeable about Japan, familiar with Isoroku Yamamoto and some simple kanji. In Harajuku, I had them try crepes, and after visiting Meiji Shrine, since we still had time, we went to Shinjuku Gyoen. The heat and humidity had eased, but when we reached the Japanese garden, one of the guests wanted to take a break, so we parted ways at the café inside the park. It was a humorous and generous group.

I would definitely recommend this tour. Our guide Tachi was so helpful in showing us around and answering all our questions. It was a great idea to do this on the first day since we covered most of the popular cultural sights and areas with her leaving the ret of our days for other specific interests.

Wonderful tour of the highlights of Tokyo
Tachi was our guide. What a wonderful experience. She communicated very effectively before our departure to plan a very nice tour around the city. On the day of departure, it was raining very heavily in Tokyo and we considered rescheduling, but went ahead anyway. She met us at our hotel just as planned and set out on a very nice tour that visited all the sites we wanted to see. We used the subway system to move about the city. We we very happy with the tour and would book with her again in the future if we return to Tokyo. Hint: download PASMO to your phone to pay for subway rides.
