First stop: Asakusa After taking in a view of the whole Asakusa area from the 8th floor of the culture and tourism center, we strolled through Kaminarimon Gate, Nakamise Street, and Senso-ji Temple. The guests experienced Japanese culture, including the smoke of the large incense burner, purification at the water-cleansing basin, and praying at Senso-ji Temple. I explained Buddhism and Shinto.

Second stop: The Imperial Palace From the government office district of Kasumigaseki, we viewed Sakurada-mon Gate and the Nijubashi Bridge.

Third stop: Tsukiji Outer Market We had lunch at the food court, visited a coffee shop, and enjoyed the atmosphere while walking through the market.

Fourth stop: Shibuya Scramble Crossing After looking down at the entire crossing from the 2nd floor of Shibuya Mark City, we experienced crossing through the crowds. The guests were delighted to see the Hachiko statue and the 3D frisbee dog as well.

After the tour, I explained how to get to teamLab, and we parted ways.

A notable stop on the tour was Senso-ji Temple in Asakusa. Senso-ji is Tokyo's oldest temple, founded in the 7th century, and it remains one of the most visited Buddhist temples in Japan. Visitors approach it through the iconic Kaminarimon Gate with its massive red lantern, then walk along Nakamise Street, a shopping lane lined with stalls selling traditional snacks and souvenirs that leads to the temple's main hall. The large incense burner in front of the main hall is a popular spot where visitors waft the smoke over themselves, as it is believed to bring good health, offering an accessible window into Japanese religious customs that blend Buddhist and Shinto traditions.
