- 9:00 Meet at hotel lobby
- 9:30 Shinjuku 3D Cat, Omoide Yokocho, Godzilla Head, Don Quijote
- 10:10 Meiji Shrine, purchase a "Mini Bonsai Kit" at FOREST TERRACE
- 11:15 Harajuku Takeshita Street, splurge on character goods at the Sanrio Harajuku store
- 13:20 Lunch at a sushi restaurant in the Tsukiji Outer Market
- 14:45 Purchase matcha at "Jugetsudo Ginza Kabukiza Store" on the 5th floor of Kabukiza Tower
- 15:10 Stroll around Ginza, then disband
What Is a Private Family Tour of Tokyo Like? A Licensed Guide's Report on Harajuku and Meiji Shrine
The guests were a family from North America who love Japanese anime and character goods. They had planned this trip and mentioned that the next day they would finally visit the Ghibli Museum in Mitaka with tickets they had managed to obtain. Today was a humid day with temperatures exceeding 30 degrees for the first time in a while, and the strong sunlight was difficult for one of the guests, so I suggested using an umbrella borrowed from the hotel as a parasol, which they seemed to appreciate. One of the guests bought a large number of character goods at a shop on Takeshita Street and looked very happy. The whole group was also interested in bonsai, and at a souvenir shop near Meiji Shrine, each of them chose and purchased a bonsai kit they liked. A notable stop on the tour was Meiji Shrine. Meiji Shrine is a Shinto shrine located in Shibuya, Tokyo, dedicated to the deified spirits of Emperor Meiji and Empress Shoken. Surrounded by a lush forest of over 100,000 trees donated from across Japan, the shrine offers a peaceful retreat in the heart of the city and is one of Tokyo's most visited sacred sites, especially popular during the New Year period.

The tour was a fantastic experience. Bruce engaged with me early on to determine what we wanted to see and what would be most effective. He met us at the hotel, and let us to some amazing sites, and leading us through the Tokyo transit system. He showed us the customs which really made us feel to be part of the experience. Bruce took us to a lunch spot which was an amazing experience. This tour provided Tokyo experiences that we wouldn’t have been able to do in one day on our own.

Bruce was our guide for the day. He was amazing , kind, patient, interested and most interesting. He tailored his tour around our likes, avoided a lot of touristy type things ( though included some we would have been sorry to miss )

Bruce Sagano was terrific! He was very patient, kind and knowledgeable. He took us to Meiji Shrine, Takeshita Street and Tsujiki Fish Market. We ate at a great sushi restaurant in Tsujiki and we visited one of his favorite coffee shops. I highly recommend Bruce!

Great Tokyo tour with Bruce!
We booked a 6 hour Tokyo tour with Bruce Sugano and had a great experience! Bruce’s English is very good and he was flexible with us setting and changing the itinerary when we saw things we wanted to experience. We took the tour on our 2nd day in Japan and It was helpful to introduce us to the culture and help us gain an understanding of the city and some of its important sites. At the end of our tour, Bruce took us to one of his favorite sushi restaurants and introduced us to Japanese sushi! I would definitely recommend this tour!
