What's a Full-Day Private Tour of Tokyo Like? A Licensed Guide's Report on Asakusa, Shibuya, Meiji Shrine, and Shinjuku
The guests were visiting Japan for the first time from Oceania. They had arrived in Japan the day before, and after Tokyo they planned to visit Kyoto, Hiroshima, and other destinations, for a total stay of about ten days.
I guided them around Asakusa, Shibuya, Meiji Shrine, and Shinjuku. Although it was only the beginning of June, the weather was hot, exceeding 30 degrees, so we took care to avoid heatstroke as we made our way around. Listening to the explanations and taking photos at each spot, they seemed to be enjoying themselves. For lunch, we went to an udon restaurant in Shibuya a little before noon to avoid the midday crowds. Since it was the season for Japanese irises at Meiji Shrine, we also stopped by the Inner Garden. They had many questions about the places they planned to visit on their own from the next day onward. Finally, we returned to the Hotel and ended the tour.

This tour was beyond expectations! Haru, my tour guide, was knowledgeable, kind and friendly. I feel like I learned so much from him throughout the day! I loved that I was able to choose from so many different sightseeing options. I simply gave Haru my list of preferred places and he did the rest!
