Title: What Is a Private Tokyo Day Tour Like with a Licensed Guide? A Guide's Report

On this tour, I guided a group visiting from North America who had a strong interest in history. Even though the timing coincided with jet lag, everyone seemed to enjoy the day very much. In particular, the goma (sacred fire) ritual at Fukagawa Fudoson Temple in Monzen-Nakacho left such a deep impression that the guests thanked me many times, saying how glad they were to have been brought there. The guests had a strong intellectual curiosity and asked questions about the religious perspectives of Buddhism and Shinto, and I was able to explain in a way they found satisfying. As for the meal, which had been a point of concern beforehand, I took the group to a Kura Sushi as arranged in advance, and they were delighted to find a favorite dish there.
