This private tour of Tokyo began at 10:00, when the guide met the guests at hotel, and finished at 16:00. The day ran to 6 hours from start to finish.

The guests were visitors from North America, visiting Japan on a trip. From a hotel near Shimbashi, we walked to Hamarikyu Gardens, where they were very intrigued by the falconry-related exhibits. After enjoying lunch in the crowded Tsukiji area, we took a leisurely walk through Asakusa. For a Saturday, the crowds were relatively light, so we were able to take our time viewing the three portable shrines (mikoshi) housed behind Asakusa Shrine.

In response to the guests' request to see ordinary city life, we walked slowly from Ochanomizu to Akihabara. At Kanda Myojin Shrine, we happened to come across a wedding ceremony, and the guests were moved to see a bride dressed in a white shiromuku kimono. From the Otoko-zaka slope, we headed to Akihabara. After introducing gashapon machines and retro games, we visited a card game shop, which was the main highlight of the day. Our time ended here, so I confirmed the way back with the guests and we parted ways.
