Tour Itinerary
- 10:30 THE BLOSSOM HIBIYA After schedule meeting, walk to Hibiya Station
- 11:15 Arrive at Tsukiji Station, head to Tsukiji Market while viewing Tsukiji Hongwanji, after strolling and light meal head to Tsukiji Station
- 13:00 Arrive at Nippori Station via Ueno Station, head to Yanaka Ginza and Yanaka Cemetery, after strolling head to Nippori Station
- 14:30 Arrive at Ueno Station, head to Ueno Park and Shinobazu Pond, after strolling and light meal head to Ueno Station
- 15:45 Arrive at Asakusa Station, stroll Kaminarimon and Nakamise, disband at Nakamise upon request
Title: What's a Full-Day Private Tokyo Tour Like? Tsukiji, Yanaka, Ueno, and Asakusa — A Licensed Guide's Report
I guided a group of guests from Europe, all of whom had arrived in Japan just the day before.
We walked from the hotel to Hibiya Station and took the subway to the Tsukiji Market. At Tsukiji, rather than seafood, the guests preferred to enjoy items such as tamagoyaki (rolled omelet), meat dishes, and fruit, and they appeared to be enjoying the experience overall.
Afterward, we took the subway to Ueno and then continued by JR to Nippori, where we visited Yanaka Ginza and Yanaka Cemetery. At Yanaka Cemetery in particular, the cherry blossoms were in full bloom, and the guests showed great interest, taking many photographs.
Since the guests expressed a wish to ride a boat at Shinobazu Pond, we changed the original plan and visited the Ueno area first. After taking the Yamanote Line to Ueno, we strolled around Ueno Park and Shinobazu Pond and guided them to the boat dock. However, due to time constraints, we did not actually take a boat ride and only confirmed the location of the dock, and the guests enjoyed some light refreshments from the food stalls.
We then took the subway to Asakusa and toured Kaminarimon and Nakamise Street. The guests were impressed by the size of the large lantern at Kaminarimon and showed great interest in the wide variety of goods along Nakamise.
As it was only the day after their arrival in Japan, some of the guests appeared tired, so although we had a little time to spare, we wrapped up the schedule early at the guests' request and parted ways.
At each location, the guests showed strong interest and appeared satisfied overall. In particular, I felt they had a high level of interest in the unique culture and atmosphere of Japan, such as the Tsukiji Market and the Yanesen area.

Self-Background
During my university years, I lived in a dormitory for four years and had the opportunity to live with many international students.
Of course, we spoke English.
After graduating from university, I started working as an English teacher at a junior high school.
I was able to have a fun teaching life while interacting with many students. During that time, I continued to study English on my own and obtained the pre-1st grade English proficiency test.
After that, I worked for the Board of Education as a supervisor in charge of English education, and then managed a school as a vice principal, and later principal.
After retiring from teaching, I took the TOEIC (L&R) and achieved my highest score of 945.
I also obtained a license as a national guide-interpreter, and began working as a guide for overseas visitors in English.
Currently, I guide tourists to several places around the country.
Many customers have told me that I am a good guide, saying that my guidance is easy to understand and that I have a lot of knowledge about sightseeing spots and history.
