Title: What Is a Private Family Day Tour of Tokyo Like? A Licensed Guide's Report on Shinjuku Gyoen, Takeshita Street, and Senso-ji
The guests were a group who joined the tour together. Since they preferred a plant-based diet, I took them to a restaurant that could accommodate their dietary needs. As they planned to explore Tokyo on their own for the following few days, they asked me how to access some of the places we visited so they could return, and they asked for many recommendations.
At Shinjuku Gyoen, the cherry blossoms were in full bloom and the weather was beautiful, so the guests took many photos. Takeshita Street was a place chosen especially for one of the guests. They enjoyed trying gachapon capsule machines and bought some accessories. They mentioned they would like to come back for more shopping another day. Along Nakamise Street near Senso-ji, one of the guests searched for and purchased a sake tokkuri and guinomi cup set. Another of the guests enjoyed a strawberry candy.
They were a very kind group, and at the end they said they wanted to do something in return, asking if there was anything they could do such as leaving a review, and mentioning they would like to request a guide when their friends visit.

I have been working as a flight attendant, providing thoughtful and detailed service to passengers from around the world. Currently, I serve as a cabin manager on international flights.
During my student days, I studied abroad in Manchester, UK for nine months. When my friends from that time visited Japan, I had the opportunity to guide them around the country, which sparked my interest in becoming a tour guide.
I have strong communication skills, a deep understanding of different cultures, and a sincere spirit of hospitality developed through my career in aviation.
I’m passionate not only about Japanese traditional culture, but also about the country’s modern lifestyle and latest trends. I aim to help visitors experience the real Japan through fun, engaging, and easy-to-understand tours.

Wonderful day long tour of Tokyo!
Tripadvisor review: Tokyo 6hr Private Tour with Government-Licensed Guide
Chiho was amazing!! She was very good about reaching out to us prior to our tour to decide what sites we wanted to visit and created a very well organized tour for the day. I was a little nervous about navigating the Tokyo train system and she helped us get familiar with it. We had a wonderful day, but ran behind a little bit on our original schedule for a variety of reasons. Despite that, she never rushed us, and we actually had a wonderful vegetarian lunch, which she found a great spot for. Lastly, and most impressively, as the dayran along, she stayed well beyond the six hours planned for the tour – actually closer to 8 1/2 hrs (!!) and even insisted on guiding us back to our hotel on the train. Just incredible!
She was extremely kind and thoughtful and very informative. We considered ourselves super fortunate to have had her as a guide and it’s hard to imagine having a better experience!!
