**Title:** What's a Private One-Day Tokyo Tour Like Before a Cruise? A Licensed Guide's Report
**Body:**
The guests were visiting Japan for the first time from North America, and today was their only full day of sightseeing in Tokyo. Their main purpose was to enjoy a cruise around Japan; the morning after this tour, they were scheduled to travel to Osaka by Shinkansen, board the ship there, and spend about two weeks on a southern route that included Hiroshima and cities along the Sea of Japan coast, ending in Sapporo. From there, they planned to fly back home via Tokyo.
They were very impressed by the smooth subway travel in Tokyo and by how clean the city was. At first, they said they did not want to buy subway tickets themselves and asked me, as their guide, to arrange everything for them, so I explained the system, including smart cards such as SUICA and the steps each person needs to take when passing through the ticket gates. In the end, each of them purchased a one-day subway pass and got on and off the trains without any trouble. They mentioned that in their everyday life they do not use public transportation such as subways, so they said it was a great help to have a guide with them for navigating Tokyo's unfamiliar subway system.
At Meiji Shrine, one of the guests did not take part in the purification fountain or the worship, but they listened attentively to the explanations about Japanese history. For lunch, I offered a few options, and they chose tempura and soba. They thoroughly enjoyed spring mountain vegetables and shrimp tempura.
At the start of the tour, perhaps because they were tired, their expressions were a little tense, but by the end of the tour, as we approached their accommodation, they seemed to relax. They even smiled warmly at a small child they saw, saying how cute the child was, showing how at ease they had become.

Best Post cruise tour ever
It was a GREAT TOUR with Noripy! With a family of many different ages and walking levels this was fantastic. We were picked up from our cruise in Yokohama and dropped off at Haneda airport. We had about 10 hours before our flight and it went flawlessly.

Noripy was excellent! She guided us through several parts of the city: Imperial Palace, Tokyo Station, Tokyo Tower, Sangedatsumon, Zojo-ji, Meiji Jingu, and Golden Gai. A great way to see many Tokyo sites and get acquainted with the city on your first day!

Lovely experience. My guide was an absolutely adorable lady who managed to fit all the iconic Tokyo spots into my 6-hour tour without anything feeling rushed. She was knowledgeable, organised, and genuinely kind. Toward the end she even helped me with some shopping, which I really appreciated. A wonderful introduction to Tokyo and a guide I’d happily recommend….

Tokyo walking tour with Noripy. A+!
Tripadvisor review: Tokyo 6hr Private Tour with Government-Licensed Guide
Noripy gave a 5/5 tour! She provided useful instruction for public transport use, fascinating historical information, spiritual customs and current cultural practices- All with an infectious smile and never ending positive energy. Noripy’s tour allowed us to made the most of the rest of our time in Tokyo. I feel like we did 5 days of sightseeing in 6 hrs! But Noripy made sure to always check if we wanted a break. Our tour was customized for my 2 teenage kids and I, and if we saw or thought of something along the way that interested us, Noripy accommodated! I highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Tokyo. And you will be extra lucky to get Noripy for your guide!
