Tour Itinerary
- 10:20 Hotel – 20 minutes late due to guest oversleeping
- 10:30-11:30 Meiji Shrine
- 12:00 Coffee time
- 12:30-13:50 Nijubashi Bridge ~ East Gardens
- 14:00-14:45 Tonkatsu at the Hotel basement
- 15:10-16:10 Asakusa, guided them on the way back and finished
Family Private Tour in Tokyo from Europe: What's It Like? A Licensed Guide's Report
The guests were a group visiting from Europe. When they did not appear in the hotel lobby, I was a little concerned, but it turned out they had overslept due to jet lag, so we started about 20 minutes late. It was a very hot day, so walking from Nijubashi Bridge to the East Gardens of the Imperial Palace seemed quite tiring for them (Nijubashi Bridge had also been a request). One of the guests seemed to enjoy history and listened attentively, while the rest of the group appeared a little tired.

My wife and I enjoyed this tour immensely. Maki was absolutely great. If you want to get oriented in Tokyo take this tour first. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and considerate to our needs for seeing the best of Tokyo in one day. I would recommend this tour on the first day to experience negotiating the Tokyo Metro and famous sights.
