What Is a Private Day Tour of Tokyo Like? A Licensed Guide's Report on Tsukiji, Asakusa, and Meiji Shrine

The guests were a group visiting from North America who often travel together. It was their first time in Japan, and they had already visited Kyoto and Osaka. We first went to Tsukiji, where they enjoyed tuna sushi at a well-known restaurant, along with wagyu beef, beer, shine muscat grapes, and mitarashi dango. After that, we went to Sensoji Temple, where they drew omikuji fortunes and got "great blessing" (which seems to have been common lately), then prayed at the main hall before heading to an okonomiyaki restaurant. They happily enjoyed okonomiyaki, teppanyaki, and other dishes. At Kappabashi, three of them purchased kitchen knives. We then moved on to Meiji Shrine. Everyone was a strong walker and seemed completely tireless. They said the forest of Meiji Shrine was beautiful and prayed there. There happened to be a Japanese-style wedding photo shoot taking place, as well as a family celebrating Shichi-Go-San, and they looked on with delight. I guided them to the entrance of Takeshita Street to conclude the tour. It was a very fine and beautiful day.
