Tour Itinerary in Detail
This private tour of Tokyo began at 9:00, when the guide met the guests at Meeting up, and finished at 14:50. The day ran to 5 hours and 50 minutes from start to finish. It included lunch at 12:30.
From there the group visited Tsukiji Fish Market at 9:30, Kiyosumi Garden at 11:10, Omotesando at 13:10 and Meiji Jingu Shrine at 13:40.
Travel between the sites was by public transport: Akabanebashi to Tsukiji Market by train (180JPY); Tsukiji Market to Kiyosumi-shirakawa by train (220JPY); Kiyosumi-shirakawa to Omotesando by train (210JPY). Across 3 sections the fare came to 610JPY per person.

The guests were visitors from North America who were scheduled to depart the next day on a cruise, visiting Osaka and then traveling around East Asia. The itinerary had been proposed in advance based on the guests' requests, but when I confirmed the plan in the morning, I found that they had booked TeamLab Planets in Toyosu (15:00-15:30) rather than Azabudai Hills, so after discussing it together, we decided to head there by taxi from Meiji Shrine. At the Tsukiji Market, the guests very much enjoyed items such as grilled oysters. At the Kiyosumi Garden, the atmosphere changed completely, and the guests were delighted by the quiet garden, after which they enjoyed lunch in Omotesando. We walked to Meiji Shrine, but since one of the guests became tired, we rested on a bench for a while before they headed to Toyosu by taxi.

We had an amazing experience on this tour and couldn’t have asked for a better introduction to Japan. Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and made everything easy to understand while sharing so much interesting history and local insight. She took us to a variety of places we wouldn’t have found on our own and made sure we were comfortable the entire time.
This tour is perfect for first-time visitors—it really helps you get familiar with the area, culture, and transportation without feeling overwhelmed. Everything was well-organized, informative, and enjoyable from start to finish. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Japan!

Our guide Motoko was so polite & engaging. She customised the tour around things we enjoy and took us to a traditional Japanese restaurant for lunch which we would never have found.
We only had a couple of days in Tokyo so wanted to make the most of it. I would highly recommend this tour & Motoko if you are in the same position.
