Title: What's a Private One-Day Walking Tour of Tokyo Like? A Licensed Guide's Report

I received this assignment the day before and immediately began exchanging messages via a messaging app, learning about the background and the guests' wishes, and then created an itinerary that respected the previous guide's recommendations while adjusting the time allocation. Since the guests enjoyed gardens, I included the East Gardens of the Imperial Palace and the Kyu-Shiba-rikyu Garden. I recommended the Kyu-Shiba-rikyu Garden with several things in mind: the guests had asked me to show them the way to teamLab Planets and Borderless, which they wanted to visit the next day, how to spend the time from 2:30, and ease of returning to the Hotel. The guests were very pleased with the local atmosphere of Yanaka, the gardens of the East Gardens, and the solemn air flowing through Meiji Shrine. We crossed the famous intersection in Shibuya and then went straight to Hamamatsucho. In front of the Kyu-Shiba-rikyu Garden, I explained the way to Zojoji Temple, Tokyo Tower, Azabudai Hills, the station, how to get back from Kamiyacho to Tawaramachi, and as an option the way back from Daimon, before we said goodbye. At first the guests said that explanations of history and religion could be kept light, but they seemed to have studied about Japan and were quite knowledgeable. I was glad that they showed great interest when listening to my explanations.
