What Is a Full-Day Private Tour of Tokyo Like? A Licensed Guide's Report on Tsukiji, Ueno, Meiji Shrine and Takeshita Street

There was a little rain in the morning, but otherwise there was no rain and the conditions were good for the tour. It became especially hot and humid from the afternoon, which was hard on the guests, who came from a cooler place. At Harajuku, staying indoors seemed to be a good choice. At Tsukiji, the guests saw a fish market unlike anything they had seen before and asked many questions about the food and the meals. At Ueno Park, they asked many questions about religion, especially Shinto. We bought some snacks at a convenience store and ate them near Shinobazu Pond, then went on to Meiji Shrine and Takeshita Street. They were surprised at the difference between the two areas, which are so close yet completely different in character. It was still far too early for Golden Gai, so we only took a quick look at the exterior, but the tour finished as planned.
