What's a Full-Day Private Tour of Tokyo Like for First-Time Visitors? A Licensed Guide's Report

The guests were a group visiting from Oceania. They had arrived in Japan the previous day and planned to stay in Tokyo for their entire trip. From tomorrow onward they seemed to have plans such as visiting Tokyo Disneyland and sightseeing around Mount Fuji, but today's tour focused on introducing the main areas of the city while helping them learn how to use public transportation.

At the first stop, the Tsukiji Outer Market, the guests enjoyed the unique food culture. At Namiyoke Shrine and Higashi Honganji Temple, I explained the difference between temples and shrines, and how Shinto and Buddhism have influenced Japanese culture. They were delighted to gain a good understanding of that background.

In Ginza and around the Imperial Palace, they mentioned they would like to visit again from tomorrow onward, so I also introduced the places they should see there.

In Asakusa, they were surprised by the sheer size of the crowds and said they would like to return another day.

Finally, at the request of one of the guests, I took them to Akihabara, where the tour concluded.

Hello and welcome to Tokyo!

I have been working for business with American companies for many years. I have many experiences guiding customers from around the world in Japan and taking Japanese customers to the USA and Europe.

I now have a national license as a guiding interpreter, and I want to introduce the unique gigantic city of Tokyo and the traditional Japanese culture, which is not shown in the guidebooks, to people worldwide who are interested in it. In addition, I want to introduce various Japanese foods you can enjoy only in Japan.
Unique experiences such as the Sumo Training Viewing and Tea Ceremony are optionally available.
Depending on your preference and itinerary, I can guide you in Tokyo, Kamakura, and Hakone so that you can enjoy your time in Japan.
