What's a Private One-Day Tokyo Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report on Asakusa, Yanaka Ginza, and Meiji Shrine

The guests were visitors from North America. After discussing carefully in advance and taking into account the places they planned to visit on other days, we visited Asakusa, Yanaka Ginza, and Meiji Shrine. They were very pleased with the goshuincho (temple seal book) they purchased at a shop I recommended in Asakusa, and they were delighted to receive seals at Senso-ji and Meiji Shrine.

For lunch, they said they wanted somewhere the locals go, so we went to a soba restaurant. They loved the oroshi soba and tempura soba they tried for the first time, and were amazed by the great value for money. During the tour, one of the guests mentioned they wanted some Japanese incense that an acquaintance had once given them long ago. The exact brand name was unclear, but I managed to track it down and finally guided them to Aoyama, where the only shop in Tokyo is located, which made them very happy as well. I was pleased to hear the words, "I felt so relaxed being with you."
