What Is a Private Day Tour of Tokyo Like Before a Cruise? A Licensed Guide's Report

The guests were visitors from Oceania who had just arrived in Japan this morning to join a cruise from Tokyo to Singapore starting the day after next. [Japan Guide Agency (JGA Inc.)](https://www.j-g-a.org/) guided them on a private day tour of Tokyo.

First, I took the group to Meiji Shrine and explained the differences between temples and shrines, the influence each has had on Japanese culture, and the differences in the way people worship. After listening, they became very interested in Shinto and said they wanted to research more about it later.

We happened to come across a wedding procession taking place within the shrine grounds, and they were deeply impressed by the solemn atmosphere.

After stopping by the Shibuya crossing, we headed to Senso-ji Temple in Asakusa. While strolling through the area, they became very interested in the rickshaws and wanted to try one, so they enjoyed a rickshaw experience at the end. Finally, I saw them off from Asakusa to their hotel by taxi, bringing the tour to a close.

Hello and welcome to Tokyo!

I have been working for business with American companies for many years. I have many experiences guiding customers from around the world in Japan and taking Japanese customers to the USA and Europe.

I now have a national license as a guiding interpreter, and I want to introduce the unique gigantic city of Tokyo and the traditional Japanese culture, which is not shown in the guidebooks, to people worldwide who are interested in it. In addition, I want to introduce various Japanese foods you can enjoy only in Japan.
Unique experiences such as the Sumo Training Viewing and Tea Ceremony are optionally available.
Depending on your preference and itinerary, I can guide you in Tokyo, Kamakura, and Hakone so that you can enjoy your time in Japan.
