The guests were visiting Japan from the Middle East. This time I had the opportunity to guide guests from an Islamic cultural background. Since they did not have transportation IC cards such as Suica, they purchased PASMO cards at Shinjuku Station, and we traveled using both JR and subway lines.

The guests walked at a fast pace, and things went smoothly up to a certain point, but choosing a place for lunch proved difficult. At first I considered a shop at Tokyo Ramen Street inside Tokyo Station, but as it was the last Sunday of the summer holidays it was extraordinarily crowded, so I quickly gave up on that idea and decided to guide them in Asakusa instead. I took them to a restaurant near Nakamise Street that could offer vegan ramen, but they were concerned about the ingredients in the soup, so in the end we ended up searching on the spot for a place where they could eat halal ramen. It seems that online information about halal-friendly food is not updated at many restaurants, and I had the guests walk quite a long way before we reached a ramen shop on Kaminarimon Street. Even so, the halal ramen itself was very well received, which was a relief.

After the meal I guided them around Senso-ji Temple, and by then it was just about time to finish, so I saw them off at their hotel and we parted ways.

I was born in Tokyo and was raised in the suburbs of Tokyo called Tama area. When I was in university, I majored in western dramas, so I am good at playing like an actor.
I like reading, listening to the music, and walking. I belong to several walking clubs, and sometimes I guide the members around Tokyo.
One of my strengths as a guide is that I know well about kombu, Japanese kelps. In December every year, I work at a traditional kombu shop in Tsukiji Fish Market. At that shop, I learned a lot of things related to kombu or other ingredients for washoku. I can explain the different characteristics of them to you.
Also, I am familiar with Japanese flowers and plants. If you stroll around a Japanese garden with me, I am sure you will be able to enjoy beautiful flowers and unique plants in every season.
