- 5. 14:00 Harajuku (Meiji Shrine, Takeshita Street)
- 6. 14:50 Shibuya (Hachiko Statue, Scramble Crossing)
- 7. 15:10 Disband at Shibuya Station
What Is a Private Tokyo Walking Tour Like in Summer? A Licensed Guide's Report
The guests were visitors from North America. Since they seemed sensitive to the heat, I paid extra attention and took frequent cool-down breaks as we went around.
They mentioned that watching "Shogun" had sparked their interest in Japanese history, and even in the hot and humid weather they listened very attentively to my explanations.
They wanted to have lunch at a place where locals eat, so I took them to a restaurant in Asakusa, and they were very pleased. Since one of the guests was not fond of fish, I arranged a tempura set meal without fish (the restaurant is very flexible in accommodating such requests).
Finally, I saw them off at Shibuya Station on the Ginza Line, ending the tour.
Overall, I believe the guests enjoyed themselves thoroughly and were satisfied with the experience.

Pleasant Intro to Tokyo
Nobu was an experienced and informative guide. It was a great introduction to Tokyo – a busy and vastly interesting city. We learned about Japanese history and toured some of the major sites including the Imperial gardens, a Buddhist temple, a Shinto shrine, and the bustling Shibuya Crossing. Nobu helped us get familiar with the subway system and explained some of Japanese cuisine. We greatly enjoyed our tour and recommend it to others!
